trump going to prison would cause his supporters to burn our democracy to the ground. the best thing for our country would be for trump to die peacefully in his sleep sooner than later.
Really? This is where the 'protect ourselves from the government' gun rights argument falls apart. A collection of pistols and assault rifles vs the most advanced military in the world that has a massive intelligence network, satellite surveillance, tanks, attack helicopters, jets, etc? We saw what his hardcore supporters can do on Jan 6. It isn't much. It might coalesce into a series of domestic terrorism attempts. Which we already have.
If he is found guilty, I doubt he would go to jail, probably house arrest or something, these are unprecedented times but I don't think you could have an ex president be in prison, but who knows, these are crazy times. I would fully expect his base to cause quite a bit of violence and I could see them trying to free him from MAR LOL If your going to be under house arrest, that's not a bad place to be but it would drive him absolutely bonkers
Wait, so the Russian military can’t defeat Ukraine but inbred MAGA warriors are gonna take down the USA? Okay, I’m terrified…
Same argument. This isn't post-WWI Germany where the advantages I listed for the US military didn't even exist yet. I'm not saying to be naively blind to the potential. I'm saying that it's far, far less likely.
They have already declared war against the USA multiple times now. When trump dies, there will be no shortage of stupid conspiracy theories floating around for @Commodore to spam so the Mojomans of the world can be fooled into going into an FBI building to shoot everyone.
let Trump supporters go wild…maybe the cancer can get excised from this country once and for all lock them up once they go crazy, and if they want some “war,” I’m not too worried about Lieutenant Bubba and Commander Cletus Have u seen their training videos? Almost shooting each other in the head…getting ran out of Philly by some locals…groping each other in the woods they will find out the difference between fantasy and role play, and real life
If he gets locked up it will be a country club of a prison compared to the conditions of most American criminals. He'll probably still have secret service protection on top of it. Someone hearing him behind bars spurting his BS about being framed and winning the election would just punch him in the face to shut him up. Crybabies wouldn't fare well, and Trump would be given protection he doesn't deserve. As for those you think will start a Civil War, I don't think there are enough fools willing to throw away their lives for a traitor of this country to pose any threat at all. If so, they will lose that battle, along with their own freedoms. I can hear the song lyrics now, about a bunch of Q kooks and redneck cult members with arms, rising up, and falling, like little toy GI Joes in a windstorm. LOL
I don’t think we will have a civil war of opposing armies, militias or states opposing each other. What we could have a domestic insurrection with large riots focused on government facilities like Jan. 6 and acts of domestic terrorism like the Murrah Federal building. While there are a lot of Meal Team Six role players out there there are also many who actually have military including special forces experience. Who have served in combat against insurgents who techniques they could duplicate. Also there are a disturbingly large amount of LEO in this movement who could both openly aid insurrectionists or act behind the scenes to use the tools of LE to support them. For example an LEO could look the other way while a group brings in automatic weapons and buys a lot of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer. Also you could have sympathetic state politicians allow “militias”’to get acces to National Guard armories. Given how complex our civilization is it wouldn’t take much for even a handful of people to do a lot of damage. Consider that it only took 19 people with less than a quarter million in funding to carry out 911 and only two with a few thousand dollars to take down the Murrah Federal building.
