Russian makes their talk shows look like game shows. Feels like there's someone sitting in the dark waiting to spring a trap door button for those who give the wrong answer.
More mass civilian graves found, this time in newly liberated Lyman. Interesting, also, that the Russians left their dead when they retreated from Lyman. Apparently they care as much for their own people, as they do for anybody else: Translation: A cemetery was found in the liberated Lyman, where more than 50 civilians are buried The Russians dug trenches and forced people they suspected of collaborating with the Ukrainian military to collect the bodies of the dead for reburial. In addition, the occupiers did not take away their dead. Yes, Russians lived in one of the houses and organized a medical center there. When they retreated, they took the wounded and left the dead
https://time.com/6216213/ukraine-military-valeriy-zaluzhny/ It’s a good article. Ukrainian and U.S. officials alike believe the war will be longer and bloodier than most imagine. Putin has shown he’s willing to sacrifice his troops and commit atrocities to exhaust his adversary. In a menacing speech, he warned that he was “not bluffing” when he threatened to use everything at his disposal to defend Russia—an allusion to nuclear weapons. The recent Ukrainian offensive may be a turning point, but it is not the decisive blow. “In hindsight, we’ll look at this like the Battle of Midway,” says Dan Rice, a U.S. Army combat veteran and leadership executive at West Point who serves as a special adviser to Zaluzhny, referring to the pivotal 1942 clash that preceded three more years of war.
Not that I really think Biden did it, but concern for his political career is no deterrent. One, no way he gets caught. Two, if he did get caught, it can be spun anyway. Three, his political career may be over in 2024 and certainly will be after that. He might be concerned about the environment or his own legacy or opening the door to Trump again, but not his career. In any case, I don't think he did it, but if he did do it, that's fine. I trust him and the State Dept to make these calls. Even when Trump was in office and made some questionable decisions in foreign affairs, I'm loathe to second-guess because there is so much about the dynamic that the government knows that I do not. i have no choice but to trust they're looking out for the national interest.
Is the Russian army collapsing in Ukraine? If they sent 200k professional soldiers, and over 60k casualties, then the professional soldiers are effectively broken. Meanwhile the conscripts are being given broken equipment no food and being dumped. And now they’re surrendering. Could this war be over by Christmas?
The T-14 Armata is Russia's "next generation super tank", but they only have a handful because they are super expensive and difficult to make. They were originally going to buy 2000+, but because of costs cut that way back to something like 150. No exact figures for how many have been delivered, but one estimate I saw suggests Russia had a total of 20 of them prior to today. The turret is totally unmanned/remote controlled with an autoloader, and the commander/gunner sit in the main body of the tank facing a fixed forward position. Now they have one less and the CIA/US Army has one. This is very embarrassing for Russia, on top of everything else going wrong for them.
I watch this video from time to time and laugh when Generals of Russia when asked where the T-14 Armatas and SU-57 Felons are
HHS just dropped $290 million on doses of Nplate, a prescription drug used to treat accuse radiation sickness, among other things.
Anything’s possible sure, but it doesn’t change the fact that it would be incredibly dumb and every maga conspiracy theory about it is utterly incomprehensible. Blowing up the pipeline only sends Europe into a frenzy and makes it that much more likely that they get the pressure put on them to fold. There’s just too many reasons why it would be dumb for Biden to order the strike.
The more success Ukraine has on the battlefield, the more likely it becomes that Russian criminal mob leaders like Kadyrov and the Wagner guy will focus more on internal power struggles within Russia, and will want to have their personal armies there, rather than in Ukraine.
Thanks. I turned off after the author said all war was about politics. While politics are how they get there, all wars are really about resources.
Russian army can no longer afford to give soldiers socks to wear. Wrap your feet on these towels, before you put on your kirza (Soviet style plastic fake leather) boots.
