Verlander , Brown and Neris should give Smith the cold shoulder, it’s also the mental part of the game . Smith doesn’t have it
But I do hope this outing cements Hunter Brown being on the ALDS roster. If it's at the expense of Smith, so be it.
Sure but that's more for the fans than the players. These guys are playoff vets with hundreds of playoff ab's. They don't need momentum from a meaningless game #161 to be ready for the playoffs...especially when they're going to be off for the better part of a week anyway.
Nah. Screw the no-hitter. Verlander looked great and clinched the Cy Young. The offense came alive in a big way. And the bullpen was terrific save for Will Smith(although even he recovered somewhat). The only concern I have is Trey Mancini who looks snakebit.
