If its a mistake, you move on. If its somebody who’s just ok, you give them the Darnold treatment. Avoiding the situation isn’t going to help them find somebody faster… it will continue to stall things, even if you hit on another impact player who plays another position.
Depends on what you think of this QB class. It's wasting a high pick IMHO You would be correct if I didn't think the Texans will do well to win 6 games in 2024 and have the picks to move up and get their QB of the future in a much better QB class. IMHO You are just dying to do the Carr vs Peppers thing all over again.
I'm not interested in using a top 5 or so pick on a QB that I don't feel really strongly is the guy for a very long time. We have so many holes on this team.
Absolutely zero context between putting a rookie behind an expansion team that had limited draft picks (compared to previous expansion teams) and any other NFL team. also, I do think that team was convinced that Boseli would be back to his HOF self to anchor that line (and a HOF Boseli would have made a huge difference), hence the Carr pick.
Either you can choose to learn from the past or ignore the past and hope for the best. Good news is that this is a moot point. The McNair's will never ok the Stroud pick. Who do you like between Levis /Young? I'm hoping neither but if a QB is drafted I'm guessing Levis due to his arm, size, stature.
Us taking Boselli was a package deal for us to get Gary Walker, otherwise they take Willie Roaf, iirc.
Yes. But at the time, I don't think they thought he would never play a single down for them. Still remember Pancakes feeding all the mis-information about how he'd be back for sure by week 3, etc. Not much has changed...
Right, it was salary cap relief for the Jags, but my memory might be faulty. I can't believe it's been 20 years.
