You had me until you started talking about continuing to develop Mills, and Mills standing strong and making nice throws. The problem is, he does make nice throws -once out of every four or five throws. He's got no pocket presence. He will never be a guy that can win you a game in the fourth. He doesn't appear to be made for big moments. All of these things are necessary to be a good quarterback in the league.
While I didn't know that about Bryce (nor do I put more or less stock in it), the giant tattoo on the throwing arm does scream like something Cal and Jack would be salivating over. (I'm sure they'd be thrilled with either)
I never insinuated Hooker was a 1st rnd pick, he's too old. However, with other QBs and Hooker having good seasons, they give GMs options in later rounds.

Hate to even bring it up, but with this franchise I guess its important but CJ Stroud is a huge Christian too.
You literally just put in a 2020 (when Herbert was a rookie) article. And a current power ranking. Go preseason, or NFL top 100. Lamar is no where close to Allen, full stop. And no one would trade Lamar for Herbert
No to CJ Stroud. He trains with Quincy Avery and his agent is David Mulagheta. I can’t imagine the Texans want to risk going through all that nonsense again.
Yes, preseason. You know, when they do their yearly rankings? Are you really talking about 4 games? 4 games makes Lamar as good as Allen or Herbert? Not the last 3 years? You are dense
If we agree that the QB impacts the game more, why not draft a top QB while you can? No one knows how a draft pick is going to turn out, the draft is a gamble. People thought Trevor Lawrence was a can't miss prospect but after last yr, people were saying Davis Mills was better than Trevor Lawrence. All I'm saying is if you have the Top pick and there is a QB you think is a 10yr player or generational player, ESPECIALLY at the QB position, you draft him. Right now, I'm open if the Texans get the #1 pick, that they should trade down to the #3 or #4 spot and pick the best prospect. I think there will be several QBs in which to choose from with their 2nd #1 or 2nd rnd pick. I'm seeing where Young may drop, Levis has questions and others are rising; Maye, Hooker, DJ Uiagalelei. It's good banter but we just have to let it play out.

Show me a Pre-season Publication that has Herbert above Lamar? I couldn't find one and I doubt you could either. Dont all games count, even the first 4?
Wasn't Lamar coming off INJURY in 2022? And that he only played in 12 games, so his numbers were lower. At the end of 2021 he was ranked higher and now he's higher. That's actual and factual. Lol
Fans will be fans but hopefully Nick is above it (and I think he is/will be). https://fanspo.com/nfl/agents/david-mulugheta/45657 Spoiler …and who knows, maybe the feeling is mutual. Mulugheta/Avery steer their clients away from the Texans
