no . He is a lot better than Garcia - he was last years ace with playoff blood running in his veins. You don’t leave him out of starting rotation. You can quibble with 3rd or 4th in rotation but Garcia over him is a bad take imo

 

I like the idea of Garcia piggybacking on McCullers starts.

I like Lance, but from what I see, he's a two-pitch pitcher AND he has not returned to his full 2021 form. There is room for a lot of innings for him, but I believe he is best equipped to come out of the bullpen. Especially in the 5-game ALDS. In a 7-game series, I could see starting him.

 

McCullers is ready to be part of the post season rotation.

It’ll obviously depend on how a series is going - I don’t disagree with your above comments but I take lance over Garcia any day . He is a weapon for sure out of the bullpen in a game 7

 

Click should have done more to get an impact bat during the deadline. Hope he's gone next season.

 

One last point: Garcia has a 1.86 ERA in 29 innings in September. He has been red hot.

Agreed. This is my concern. It's why I wanted to roll the dice on calling up Justin Dirden. In fairness, Mancini hasn't panned out as expected... and Vasquez hasn't been given playing time by Dusty.
