Which reminds me!!! Ground breaking film, I nearly cried at the end.... This movie must be watched as soon as possible!
I have been wanting to watch Some Takashi movies I just found out there are several of them available on Amazon. I want to see how Itchi the Killer stacks up on review and some of the others I have seen, I have not watched any of his period pieces, which should be fascinating.
Have not watched Walk hard but have been meaning to. I have seen all the other movies I went through a wire fu phase. I also really got into movies like Infernal affairs Asian gangster movies, I think they had a run on Sundance or some other channel. I also have seen The Seven Samurai. Would be interested in watching some other Asian Gangster movies like Infernal Affairs, Tokyo Vice had a lot of the same themes, but it ended abruptly.
Western Once Upon a Time in the West (long movie) The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (long movie) For a Few Dollars More Military Full Metal Jacket Apocalypse Now Greyhound Horror Midsommar The Babadook Hereditary Comedy Team America: World Police Airplane! What's Up, Doc? Sci Fi Blade Runner (and Blade Runner 2049) Mad Max Fury Road Interstellar Action Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol/Rogue Nation/Fallout Ronin Fantasy The Lord of the Rings (all three, very long movies) Dune (2021) (long movie) Other must-see movies: Master and Commander Clerks The King's Speech Unbreakable Lost Highway What's Up, Doc?
great list I have most of those. I keep waiting on Midsommar, I think after the disappointment with The Witch I don't want to go through that again. I loved Hereditary so I don't think that will be an issue.
I didn't like The Witch either. It was a 15-minute story stretched out into a 90-minute movie. However... Hereditary and Midsommar were directed by the same guy (Ari Aster). Both are excellent, with Midsommar being much better than Hereditary.
Better than Hereditary? Actually Hereditary was not a great overall movie, but the good parts were very good, I am going to have to give it a watch this weekend, I did not realize Pugh was in it, and I am currently watching Little Drummer Girl, and she is very good.
Ok I like the way this thread has turned, I am going to name some movies I think are must watch and that are not talked about. Five Heartbeats Naked Lunch The Lost Weekend Event Horizon Dog Soldiers
Holy crap I just watched the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. The Green Inferno Ugh... wow.... I don't even know if I recommend it.
