Nash/Doc: Ben doesn't need to shoot. NBA fans: Free throw is still shooting. If crunch time, I don't see opposing teams being above petty to not foul Ben if it means it could change a game's momentum. Interested to see how KD and Kyrie do scoring-wise with Ben on the court (from a spacing perspective) or if there will be a drop.
LOL at that brick hitting Kyrie and Ben’s reaction watch ya head when Benjamin is out there shooting…that jump shot is hazardous…it’s bad for your health
I mean he is sitting under the goal. This has happened to everyone. Overplayed because it’s Ben Simmons.
He’s not shooting the ball straight. Needs to get his hands under the ball and flick forward. His flicking to the left SMH
I swear every time Benjamin shoots the ball, it’s either a fadeaway, at the end of the shot clock or half, off 1 leg, etc…it’s like he does that on purpose make the jumper more difficult so it doesn’t look as bad when it misses and can be excused away because most players aren’t hitting fadeaways or heaves at the end of the clock aside from his jumper being broken, he is terrified of missing shots in front of people and what they will think…if he takes a regular jump shot while his defender is sagging 10 feet off him and airballs in front of the crowd, his mental will be all fcked up
Claxton might as well set the pick under the basket because no one is going to guard Simmons outside.
i was reading nets reddit and some of them did in fact have to explain to some people there that it would not work and why haha
if Simmons can’t run PnR with Embiid due to his deficiencies, a Simmons-Claxton PnR will be pure comedy Nets fans already lamenting the 4 on 5 offense they have with Benjamin and complaining about his lack of aggressiveness due to fear of being fouled
Brooklyn Nets swingman Ben Simmons knows that criticism is going to find him wherever he goes. After years of dealing with verbal barbs from fans -- both in person and on social media -- the 26-year-old understands that the type of ire he faces comes with being one of the best players in the game. But after a video of Simmons shooting an airball during an event for fans in a Brooklyn park on Sunday went viral, the former All-Star had to chuckle when asked how he blocks out all the noise that seems to find him. "It finds me all the time," Simmons told ESPN prior to Wednesday's preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks. "And it doesn't f---ing stop. Sometimes I'm even sick of it, but then I'm like, 'OK, I'm Ben Simmons, you know? It comes with being Ben Simmons right now.' "Even the other day there was a clip of me airballing a shot at the park. Meanwhile, like 10 guys airballed multiple shots. So it's like people will find one clip and try to make it that everything -- like Ben can't do [this or that]. Like come on man, you think I'm just airballing every shot? It's not true. But it comes with it, and you got to have tough skin and I realize that, but nah, I can't take everything personally. It's social media." https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34784119/amid-social-media-criticism-nets-simmons-leans-irving
The perpetual saga continues, BSPN should have titled this story ''The Curious Case of Benjamin (Button) Simmons''
