Rays fans have a right to be miffed. Should be bases loaded really.

It's like clockwork with Pressly. Give him a 2 run lead in the 9th and he'll give up a run before getting the close.

I totally prefer mints to gum.

I do love a good longboard though, I've had an 11' Robert August for about 25 years.

This is what happens when your offense coasts the entire game yet again, expecting the pitching to pull out the W. A win's a win but this feast or famine hitting will be a huge problem come playoffs.

My thoughts exactly... the offense really needs to do their part and step it up.

Mets lost. So all that's left is the Braves and our magic number for them is down to 1.

Need 1 more win or a Atlanta loss to clinch 2nd best record in MLB.

"Coasting" and "expecting" leads me to believe you think that players don't care or are putting forth subpar effort. Is that what this is?

    Like clockwork around here.

Did we struggle because we were facing one of the best pitchers in baseball, of course not, it was because we just didn't care. No pitcher opposing us is ever viewed as being actually good.

That little detail seems to evade some. The guy on the mound was the ASG starter for the AL. Expecting to score 5 or more off the guy is a bit silly. The dude had a sub 2 era for large portions of the season.

    Cease 5 IP, 4 ER

    2.20 ERA
    14-8 if the score stands

The Cy Young race is officially over.

Pitchers with 3 Cy Youngs and 3 No Hitters

    1. Sandy Koufax
    2. Justin Brooks Verlander

    End of List.

Good win tonight. Only concern is Pressly’s shakiness. We need him to be nails in the playoffs.
