Lord, I had wiped him out of memory. My week is ruined. Back from the days of "all the Rockets need is some shooting/a good backcourt to go with their low-post presence".

Hype is a tool. Some use it better than others.

Him looking like a Lithuanian Russell Crowe with good post moves did it for CFers.

I was one of the many, he was a timing thing too —> filling the void of a multi skilled big. Watching our project player develop showing flashes of his talent. I just knew he was headed for greatness.

He was a very promising player before his back injury. There was a decent stretch of the 2014-2015 season where DMo was our second best offensive weapon on a 50+ win team.

Loved me some prime preseason Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Jermaine Taylor action!

Honestly, I still think DMo would be effective in a Rockets uniform. I also thought Royce White was a unique player, turned out to be a unique moron.

I forgot about the injury. Just remember not being able to sign him.

I'm sorry, but anyone saying Harden is either trolling or just flat out ignorant. The man is the second greateat player in franchise history. And if you want to rip on his postseason failures, fine, but he had way more success than the McGrady/Yao era (and most eras in the franchise's history, frankly). And he has as many titles in a Rockets uniform as Moses, Calvin, Hayes, Francis and every other Rockets star player in franchise history other than Hakeem and Drexler.

Most overhyped current Rocket is definitely Tari Eason. I'm ecstatic that he was drafted at 17. The crown you all have on him right now is absolutely stupid.

Westbrick. I wanted to like him but his inefficiency was horrible to witness and that dumb trade is the reason why our pick this year is still up for grabs.

I was looking at the 1987-88 Houston Rockets Roster...
and it seemed to me half that team were under-achievers and overhyped.

    Joe Barry Carroll
    Lester Conner
    Sleepy Floyd
    Steve Harris
    Buck Johnson

I was seriously exited for first round pick John Turner back in the day. Thought he was going to be the second coming of Charles Barkley. I'm guessing most people here don't even remember him. Barely made it one season before he bailed to Spain, and nobody was sad to see him go.
