The Commodore 64 was an awesome machine at the time, it was actually affordable and you can connect to your TV.
Plus you can copy all the games you want by using a hole puncher on the side notch to bypass copyright in 80s

the football game and the bards tale were classic breh

Oh no, MOJO is a legit true believer.

If you ignore the cartoons and actually read some of the **** he actually posts, it's looney tunes.

That dude is so far down the rabbit hole, he probably won't make it past the Trump Era. He is an active shooter waiting to happen.

Commodore won't even respond to people. Just posts his propaganda and moves on to await further instructions.

The few conservative posters who post here actually have a backbone. Many on the left here just pat each other on the back and engage in groupthink.

It is quite obvious that this section of the board leans left. So if some conservatives go through the effort of educating you guys and making you aware of different viewpoints than your groupthink ones existing in the world, you should actually appreciate it, even if you don't agree with them.

Instead, some of you get angry. Very angry. Even at people who just don't share your views and who don't personally attack you. I don't think I have seen Os Trigonum or Commodore resort to personal attacks, and yet, some of you guys are full of hate towards them.

You demonize the few conservatives on this board. Their only "sin" is often to not agree with you on something. Some of the hateful and vile posts here towards conservatives are pretty bad.

The issue here really isn’t having the “wrong” opinion or being mean to others on here. You’re right — I’ve never seen Commodore personally attack anyone on here, and that’s over many, many years. Respect to him for that.

I do think tweet spamming should be discouraged, and it’s fair game to call out posters who do so and simultaneously refuse to engage with others on the content they’re “retweeting”.

You are a pretty level-headed poster, as is for instance @rocketsjudoka - and while you guys can get frustrated with people who are disagreeing with you, you also don't resort to personal attacks. I can obviously get a rise out of people, and sometimes to do it on purpose, but I have to say that I see a lot more anger and actually intolerance from some of the other lefties here on the board than from the conservative posters, when it comes to opinions perceived as "not in line" with their own ideology.

I've responded negatively to some of the whoppers he retweets. I don't like the lack of vetting, but I do respect his patience. Some of the "others here" complain about hurt feelings or pretend to be above things when they can be bad or worse than the folks they complain about.

I understand we post on here to vent and float opinions we might not candidly share in real life. It's part of the game. Some folks on both ends take the game too seriously.

Anyways, I see Commodore's type of opinions floating around on fintwit and crypto twitter, so I don't believe it's fringe. Why these ideas are repeated comes from observed and repeated repression and subversion through established mainstream narratives. Now the matter of which ideas/reports are true or which ones are bunk is insanely difficult and time consuming.

Even then you might end up being a Glenn Greenwald or a Q follower at the deep end, so most people don't even bother and move on with their day to day.

I don't blame most folk for that, but I do respect the effort people make when they dig deeper. And when there are re-tweets from randos with 300 followers, I'll give a similarly proportionate reaction. I might not agree with the conclusions presented, but I can't say I'm always right either.

An issue with Commodore, is that he posts things based on a headline or tweet and the article or info within the tweet string immediately counters the point he thinks he's making. And he rarely responds to the posts pointing that out.

It's clear that he isn't doing any reading at all in the vast majority of his posts. That's what I have a problem with.

I don't care if anyone regardless of party has a different view point than me. But, show your work.

    Precisely.

Give me snideness over laziness any day.

Part of why I still come here, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, is to GET AWAY from the twitter echo chamber and the ghouls in corporate news.

Low effort posters make this place noisy at best and miserable at worst.

Gotta agree with this. You have to be ready to take a lot of abuse if you want to be a conservative on this board. I fear the liberals of the board unwittingly cultivate right-wing trollism by driving away more thoughtful conservatives with the hostile atmosphere. If thoughtful conservatives could stick around long enough to build a minimally viable mass, they might not get dogpiled all the time. But that doesn't seem to be happening.

Well, it's pretty hard to execute on intolerance when you're outnumbered. Guys like @King1 try to do it anyway, but it isn't very effective when his targets always have many likeminded people around.

Just here because my name was mentioned and I'm stuck in a hurry up and wait, wait and wait some more mode with some projects.

I don't believe Commodore is a bot but I do think he/she is primarily interested in pushing an agenda far more than he is to have a discussion, debate or even to just vent. They can certainly do that and while I disagree and think a lot of what he posts is frankly uninformed have no personal issues with him and can't recall him ever being uncivil to me.

Also yes I agree that the Right leaning posters here do get harped on quite a bit but I also think they give back as much if not more than to the other posters. If that has driven out some quality posters that is disappointing and one reason why I try my best not to take things too personally here. (With recent exceptions but that doesn't have to do with political leanings.)

I also think there is too much made about tribes of left and right here and it seems like those on Right tend to be more tribal with throwing out things like "Libs" to refer to other posters. If the Left is defined as those who don't like Trump, don't want to see him back in office, and see him prosecuted yes that is a large number of posters but among those it isn't a monolith. I've had plenty of disagreements and debates with posters like @fchowd0311 and @SamFisher that have gotten tense and even heated. @CometsWin said some pretty harsh things about myself and even with posters that are classified as "moderates" like @jiggyfly or @Nook I've had disagreements with. I don't feel any sense of tribal loyalty or scoreboard keeping to own the other side(s). But that we're here to have Debate and Discussion.
