Or they make the wrong decision on whom to keep, like OKC did when they chose Westbrook over Harden. DD
Oh man, I almost feel bad as they're only setting him up to fail at this point. Porter Jr better hit the ground running for what should be an All Star caliber season given how much his Stans are gassing him up right now. Shouldn't be too difficult seeing as his talent far exceeds that of Jalen and Jabari . Makes sense I suppose as his game is apparently now equal to that of the great James Harden . He really must've had himself one hell of offseason .
This makes no sense, your talent level doesn't change. You can improve different skills, but your talent level is what it is.
The crazy thing is that y’all want KPJ to fail, all just to be right. He could go out there and have a great season, and y’all would be pissed. Smh
KPJ has yet to even surpass 2nd year James Harden, and they have the nerve to compare KPJ last year to Harden when he won 6MOY…just joke level “analysis”…then cop out with “it’s just an opinion”…that’s like saying 2+2=5 is just an opinion the amount of disinformation and fake facts they try and spread…all these stan posts should automatically come with a disinformation warning label
just curious, why do you think anyone wants him to fail? How would the rockets be better if he fails vs develops into an allstar? For me the biggest fear is that he improves slightly, had good "stats", and we pay a bad starter 20 mil a year.
but if you focus to the games only when kpj shot 70% or more from the field, kpj turns out to have a better ts%. Or the last 7 games. Sorry, can’t stop making this joke .
What? Your talent level improves until you are about 28-32....Hakeem got much better in his early 30s......his talent level went up because his skills went up. Of course you can improve......your talent level..... Unless you mean athleticism etc???? Maybe I am misunderstanding? DD
It’s obvious man! Every else on the team gets a pass for inconsistent play on a BAD team. I remember y’all were pissed last season when he scored 35 against the raptors on great efficiency, a game that Jalen really struggled.
Talent is what you’re born with, it doesn’t change. You can improve your shooting, dribbling, etc. but if you suck at shooting, you can’t become steph no matter what because he was born with it. Hakeem improved his skill and understanding of basketball, bit his talent never changed.
Everyone else on the team who matters was a rookie, of course a rookie will get more of a pass then a 3rd year guy. Believe me, if jalen is putting up garbage TS% and is horrific by all metrics in his 3rd year, i will be saying the exact same things about him.
It was his first year at a new position with a bad and inexperienced team around him. Come on, be fair man
Sure, but you can't just ignore that he's been a guard in the nba for 3 years and had 2 nba offseasons, you can't act like he was a rookie, be fair man
He hasn’t been bad, he’s been up and down. There’s a difference. He also improved significantly last season. Just think about how much he struggled early and then how he finished. Let’s give him this season before writing him off.
They should extend him to a fair contract, but stating he's the most talented YOUNG on the team is flat wrong. Bring up whatever stats you want, but there's truth behind the eye test. If you're one that thinks your ability to gauge on that test is superior to all, I would say, based on the reviews your ability is in the minority. He needs an extension, but be real with the real. This is to extend or not. He doesn't have to be more than he is to do that.
Nobody wants him to fail. We just know who he is and what we've seen. You guys just have a weird obsession with him for whatever reason.
Again with the hate . No one would hate that. It's simply that most fans don't believe it to be even remotely realistic. The narrative of believing KPJ to be this would be superstar if not for his baditude or the whole team somehow holding him back, and anyone that doesn't endorse that is a hater business needs to end. It's rather played out and boring at this stage. "You don't want to overpay KPJ after the underwhelming season he had?! Hater! "
I haven't seen either Green or Jabari show they have the talent to be complete players yet, that's why I say "as of now". Right now, I see a very good defensive player in Jabari and a scorer in Green....but little evidence that they have the well rounded talents KPJ does. If I see evidence suggesting that Green could have the same, I'll change my opinion. To me a one way player isn't more talented than a two way player even if the one way player is REALLY good at the one thing they do.
