    Maybe Giannis without the handles.

Or maybe with, he is still a baby.

Might not have the handles, but he'll be a significantly better shooter. We don't really even need him to do insane amounts of ballhandling, if he bulks up whilst staying agile on D and becomes a beast inside, with his outside shooting, that's a star.

Let’s talk Jabari. I know you haven’t had eyes on him yet on an everyday basis, but what are your thoughts on on that youngster?

He is a two-way player and very much a difference-maker as far as his length and his defensive instincts and his rebounding and his grit. He’s a quiet kid, and he can fool you sometimes. When he gets on the court, he is intense and competitive and has an edge to him — which I love. So yeah, his shooting is very good, and that will be his thing offensively, as well as his ability to shot fake and drive the ball and get to the rim, use his length, his offensive rebounding and whatnot. But it’s not very often when you have a high, high pick where you can say ‘Wow, he’s really good on both ends.’ And you can see it, where he could be a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. So he shouldn’t be judged only on what he does on the offensive end, because I’m going to be leaning on him on both.

Any particular moments come to mind where you’ve learned a little bit about that edge he has that you’re talking about?

A couple of things. After summer-league games — maybe his first summer-league game — he was really down after the game. And I’m like, ‘Man, it’s your first game. You’re just getting your feet wet.’ He’s like, ‘I hate to lose, coach. I just hate it.’ So I’m like, ‘OK, we got something here.’ He’s upset that he lost his first summer-league game. And then there was another play — I forget what summer-league game it was. But he fell, and the opposing player tried to help him up and he hit his hand away. He’s like, ‘Nah, don’t help me up. I’m good on my own.’ Then I was like, ‘Oh, we’ve definitely got something.’ (laughs)

He is definitely going to be judged on that particular end.

Whether he is making them or bricking them.

    Silas can rest assured.

Rockets could use another or 2 players over 6'10.

    Preferably young talented players.

    Not counting Boban.

Every Rockets fan knows that you don't have to be taller than 6'6 to play center for Houston. :D

Jabari still doesn’t show us why he could be a good shooter in his games. The arc of those shots in preseason is too flat for good shooter.

I mean, he shot the 3 better than KD did in college...

Pelicans just signed John Butler so that's another 7 foot wing off the table.

Didn't you hear....Summer League shot arc radius is the primary metric on whether or not a kid will turn into an all time great shooter.

Reminds me of when people were saying Mobley was going to be a bust because of the height of his ass or some ****. People really need to stop thinking that their wild assumptions are more accurate than an entire industry of professional scouts in all honesty haha.

Always felt Jabari was the best fit to play alongside Sengun with his defense and shooting. Love to hear their already communicating regularly. They will compliment each other very well.

He shot the three better than a lot of people in college.
