Guess Castillo didn't want to bet on himself. Another year like he's having this year could have gotten him a lot more money on the open market after the the 2023 season.
Can't blame him really, guaranteed generational wealth for his family. But did it have to be the Mariners?
As a pitcher Castillo could've bet on himself, he's a good pitcher. But good for him to get paid now. Fck the Mariners for getting a great deal.
Man, I hate that Seattle seems so competent now. Still a few pieces from being on our level, but they're closing in, and they don't have any major impending losses.
The Castillo/Suarez trades were very good moves and the Castillo extension is very team friendly. But they have a pretty thin farm. They lose Haniger, Frazier, and Santana from their lineup after this season. If they spend they will contend but they don’t project to be quite on Houston’s level for the next couple seasons.
Stuck in one of the nicest cities in the country on an up and coming franchise that's already good ..oh the horror.
If you want to know if someone is left or right, just ask them their opinion of Seattle. Mystery solved instantly. politics suck. Sorry.
