Weisselberg was convicted on illegal compensation paid by Trump. Trump literally signed the checks.

No you cannot overvalue a property why trying to use it as collateral. That is a recipe for fraud and should be basic knowledge when getting financing.

For anyone looking to get a loan for anything DO NOT DO THAT

Have the banks sued for fraud? Will the government step in if you, Rocketsjudoka, lie to them and they don't sue?

    @rocketsjudoka

What has the state of New York lost because of over valued Trump properties?

Wouldn't that create higher property taxes?

    so I’m not clear…

Is your point that Trump did nothing wrong and the NY AGs case is meritless under the law?

Or, is your point that rich people do this all the time and, while it is illegal (violates NY civil laws), this is purely a political hit.

You made it personal bro. Look in the mirror. I am not a blind Trump supporter. I don't support his stupid ass election claims are defend him leaving with classified documents

Of course it has to do with this. The fraud Weiselberg was convicted of is related to the suit that the AG is bringing regarding to fraud committed but the Trump business organization in the state of NY.

Bro, Trump is charged with paying Weisselberg off the books. He's not actually charged in that case. Only Weisselber James talked about property values. Did the charges have anything to do with employee compensation? No, STFU about it.Weisselberg are go to that thread. You're flailing, just to argue, don't have time

Stupid NY AG. Not knowing the various things a state can sue someone for. Not knowing that it's OK to under or over value your properties.

She does not have an easy case. Why haven't the banks sued Trump over property values?

What did the state lose according to James?

    Taxes for one.

If you only pay property taxes on your house at 10% of its actual value, the state/county/city is losing tax dollars and you are committing fraud.

bank loan fraud, insurance fraud, tax benefits, ...

Attorney General James Sues Donald Trump for Years of Financial Fraud | New York State Attorney General (ny.gov)

The lawsuit alleges that Donald Trump, with the help of his children Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, and senior executives at the Trump Organization, falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company, to satisfy continuing loan covenants, to induce insurers to provide insurance coverage for higher limits and at lower premiums, and to gain tax benefits, among other things. From 2011-2021, Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization knowingly and intentionally created more than 200 false and misleading valuations of assets on his annual Statements of Financial Condition to defraud financial institutions.

This conduct was in violation of New York Executive Law 63(12), which gives the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) special and broad powers to go after persistent and repeated fraud and illegality, which in this case includes violating other state laws prohibiting the submission of false financial statements, the falsification of business records, and the commission of insurance fraud.

They’ve lost tax revenue and they lost it because Trump was UNDERVALUING his properties for tax purposes and paying Weiselberg and others using methods to avoid taxes.
