Look, while it doesn't require legal training to know that you can't defraud your lenders and the government simultaneously, in opposite ways for tax/credit purposes, and while regardless, I might have once upon a time, had that training and have been licensed by the state of NY in it, I don't think we or I can pass judgment on defrauding your lenders and the government until Jonathan Turley and Ann Althouse weigh in.

About time! I thought it was obvious he was overstating on a loan and understating on taxes. When I pay more taxes than someone like him - for years - then yeah you're cheating

Does she have authority to bring felony charges? With these revelations, is she obligated to pursue these felonies?

She referred the criminal charges to the IRS and other Federal agencies because they were crimes in their jurisdiction.

From my very limited understanding the Civil suit deals with New York business and would affect the Trump's ability to run businesses in New York. But the criminal things were federal violations. Obviously since NY has a state income tax, there may be some overlap.

    Careful now:

Hunter Biden is leading a caravan full of transgender migrants, dark web laptops, woke abortion doctors, gun-banning black mermaids, opiods, Disney pedophiles, and sex books about slavery and the Holocaust across the border and straight into your children's brains.

This is real, people. I heard it from DeSantis.

The President can increase the value of his property at anytime by just thinking about it. Stupid libtards.

This does look like a witch hunt. Trump has never been sued by a bank. I don't understand what the state of New York claims it has lost due to false business valuations.

People in this thread are all up n arms about over valued Trump property. Why would you guys ****? This isn't about rich people getting away with crimes

This has been discussed multiple times. Falsely undervaluing your property can be tax fraud. Falsely increasing the value to try to get favorable loan terms or investments is also fraud.

Yes if not prosecuted this is rich people getting away with crimes.

To point out again. Trump's accountant Alan Weisselberg already was convicted on related charges. This isn't a matter of proving business fraud was committed. It's already been proven.

The way the attorney general is talking about her actions makes it look very political, which is a shame if the allegations are actually of substance.

This has nothing to do with that case. Weisselberg is charged with cheating on his personal taxes. Even the allegations of how Trump helped him cheat has nothing to do with this

Exactly, she's in the press conference talking about what rich people can do. Anyone can over value a piece of property when trying to use it as collateral. Banks will do these due diligence regardless of your wealth
