Sengun is not the longest or most explosive athlete but his footwork and IQ make him unique post threat.
With Sengun and Garuba, we have two excellent big man passers. One is much more skilled offensively, the other one is stronger defensively. But they can both dish it to Green, Jabari, Gordon, KPJ, Tari. I am really looking forward to the season.
"Obscure Stats by Twitter Losers" Its like dudes are in a rush to bark and pound chest instead of actually clicking the thread and scrolling - all the relevant information is there!! LOL Next it will be "meh bball index isnt some sort of authority" I agree with Bradeaux by the way - Sengun has great vision and anticipation on the court these stats shouldnt come to a surprise to anyone who watches the games. Garuba doing similar things was interesting as well. Looking forward to unselfish big man play this season. I like the chemistry being built.
bball-index is definitely the authority in obscuring useful data points with low res pixels of guys necks and shoulders.
Bird was a demon on the court. He was a player you likely hated with a passion when your team went up against him, yet there were few players that could give you the pure pleasure, the thrill that Bird could produce during a game. Larry Bird was maddening. That Alperen is put in a conversation about the game that favorably compares his passing to that of Bird should be seen as a high compliment. Whether Sengun, and I'm a huge fan, deserves the comparison is something only time in the NBA will show us. No pressure, big guy. ;-)
i dont think larry has nothing on sengun passing wise hes already up there with him and all the passes we saw in this clip from lary alpi can do no sweat...alpi already did more difficult passes in nba...also the fact thats its a fancy touch pass doesnt always make a pass a better one...not that alpi cant do fancy touch passes....
Bird's passing, at least the ones in the highlights, are very different in style to sengun's. Sengun usually has the ball for a long time, have time to read the field and have the others cut to make the pass. Bird's passes are within the flow of the ball movement, getting the ball to the right place as soon as receiving the ball, making the correct read of the field before the ball comes to him.
