posted a video of him mocking some dudes standing on the street without shirts on. Called them queers and tbh sounded pretty hateful. I don’t remember word for word everything he said .

he might’ve been lit , and that could be a mitigating factor , but still a pretty bad look .

I think Sarver will eventually be forced to sell.

Not any offense It’s the 18 years of racism and other bs. Why kick out sterling but not server? Silver basically said he was cooperative and apologetic. Weak punishment for this behavior

Maybe a force out is justified. But standards of punishable racism and sexism have changed quite a bit over the last 18 years. I think that should be accounted for somehow. Has his behavior "toned down" to keep up with shifting standards for example.

I think NBA owners hated/regarded Sterling as more of an embarrassment so they were ok with 86ing him almost universally. Sarver they probably empathize with more and can stomach him as a matter of "billionaires rights"

This is where we need promotion/relegation. Sports franchise owners get protected monopolies that insulate them from market pressures.

Actually I'm kind of wrong here.

I had forgotten a key detail that the NBA owners did not collectively force Sterling to sell, they were helped out by the fact that his ex wife had him declared mentally incapacitated and then took control of the sale on her own initiative

Would NBA ownership ever band together and vote to force one of their fellow B-club bros to sell, even one as repulsive and hated as Sterling? Unclear.

I read the statement and what a ****ing jackass attempting to play the victim card. I love how these rich assholes think that they should be forgiven that easily for all the bad they've caused in the past. He wants to say, I'm sorry, serve his suspension and continue moving on with life. **** him. You ****ed up, own up to it and don't give such a weak ass statement on selling the team.

I find it absolutely hilarious that people like monty williams and cp3 say how he should be out and how they wouldn't be there had they known, as if any moron out there believes that they somehow didn't know how sarver behaved. It's been common knowledge for years, if even I knew about it, pretty sure everyone who's now trashing him knew about it.

    Alright, fellow CFers!

Who's down to buy the Phoenix Mercury?

(We all know our collective efforts can't afford the Suns...)
