A middle eastern doctor i work with told me he got into it with his colleague for wearing a MAGA hat. He told him, "idiot they're coming after us, we're the first ones to go".

    I lol'd.

OOPS indeed - perhaps McCarthy needs another read through “Internet for Dummies”

Looks like GOP's accidental self-leak platform includes:

    - ISLD (independent state legislature doctrine) - state legislators can ignore the court and do whatever they want
    - repeal lower drug prices for seniors
    - criminalize all abortion at conception

Not sure why they have to hide this. Just be transparent. It's very popular.

Not a moment in any given day Senator Gas Station Sushi doesn't embarrass the State of Texas.

Refusal to reject/denounce MAGA extremists is akin to acknowledging support from the KKK.

To me its a similar concept. When an extremist group support u and you refuse to denounce it that a big Ole red flag in itself.

The republican party can pretend that they distance itself from Trump but as long as they cater to the extremists they should never b trusted.

    That's my stance.

It is simple. Republicans think they can’t win without the MAGA deplorables. Therefore they can’t denounce them. They can’t risk that the deplorable stay home on Election Day. Bank on high deplorable turnout, even if they lose voters like me.

If republicans can’t win the White House in 2024, they might never win it again.

Even the ones that seem somewhat intelligent are catching the stupidity bug.

Marco Rubio is an example of what has happened to the current Republican Party. He was a bright promising conservative but one who appeared to to be pragmatic at times, interested in working across the aisle to get things done, instead of just owning the libs. Rhetorically though and in public he has to cater to partisan and extreme crowd. He's clearly someone who loathes Trump, probably doesn't agree with a lot of what DeSantis is doing, yet has to go along with it or else he'll lose.
