This thread has slacked off I tried to start watching True Detective season 3 and that thing is a mess it makes no sense, I will finish just to see if it gets better, I am 2 episodes in.
So people don't watch TV anymore or does everything has its own thread? Watching Red Election on Ovation its a pretty good spy series with an ok twist going to be interesting to see how it ends. Hate watching The Goldbergs now I have idea why they brought it back its like uncanny valley with the way everyone has aged and they killed off Murray.
American Gigolo. Warning, some episodes are straight up softcore p*rn lol. A naked woman sat on John Bernthal’s face… but the story is intriguing. 4 episodes available on Showtime
Working on projects/skill-building tasks and took a break to watch The Redeem Team movie on Netflix, about the USA Basketball team in the Beijing 2008 Olympics after the previous dream team lost and got the bronze. Great footage and movie so far, recommend it to any NBA fan.
Your post prompted me once again to see if we're going to get a 4th season. I didn't expect to find anything but apparently they'll be shooting pretty soon. It sounds interesting.
I watched The Patient through Episode 7 over the weekend. It's not bad but I think it misses the potential. A little too much self-reflection by Steve Carell's character for my taste. Still, it's pretty thought provoking so I'll stick it out through the remaining three episodes.
I binged the latest season of "City on a Hill", its very good but the season doesnt last very long, Kevin Bacon is dam good in this one........he is very underrated IMO and seems like a dude you would want to have a beer with
I started trying to watch this but was not ready to invest 4 seasons I love Hodge and Bacon looks like he is doing great work but I don't understand how they got 4 seasons out of the premise seems it would take a lot of machinations for the show to last that long. It starts off a bit slow too, should I dive in?
Have 1 more episode to go, but "Midnight Mass" is really good. Same guy who did "Haunting of Hill House" and "Gerald's Game", on Netflix.
I did not like it, especially the ending. I loved HOHH so I don't need scary, I just never cared about the plot and then the guy I was invested in went out early. It came across as something that was supposed to be very meaning full but never stuck the landing, maybe I was just not in the mood. Tell me why you thought it was very good? The acting was great, I thought they left a lot of meat on the bone. I need to get to Gerald's Game. Have you watched Haunting of Bly Manor?
Just finished episode 6. I also just realized it’s Slow Horses not Slow House. You’d think I’d notice the title but I can’t understand their accents half the time and just eventually began thinking the show was called Slow House. who says “horse” like “house?” These people need to learn English!
Scola is everywhere and gets the W. I would talk major trash to my friends, family, and any NBA stars who played in that Olympics after winning that gold lol.
I am almost finished with Archive 81 on Netflix 7/10 so far with 2 more episodes can go up if they stick the landing. Hard to describe, it's found footage but that's just to move the plot forward and a bit of rosemary's baby, a little slow but they do enough stuff that's not expected to keep you interested in the story. Looks great, good acting would recommend it. https://www.cnet.com/culture/entert...atch-this-gripping-horror-mystery-on-netflix/
Just going to repost this in here. I finished this as well, I really liked it, not many shows these days keep me interested. I'm kind of glad they are not bringing it back I liked that it ended on a what's going to happen, I liked that they answered most of the questions and even had a bit of a curveball. I don't really care what happens to the people in the otherworld, seems a second season would have had a lot of fillers and not much mythos, I mean at the end of the day the evil god just wanted some company. 7.5 out of 10
Started The Midnight Club was a little skeptical because it had a lot of teens and a subject that if done wrong can go really wrong teen cancer patients either it's too saccharine or the teens are really insufferable, I actually care what happens to all of these kids and It's good to know what became of Matt Saracen QB 2/1. They got this just right, my only issue is that they are relying to much on the jump scares and the over the top music when they don't need them it's perfectly creepy all on its own. The surprising part is the stories told by The Midnight Club they are surprisingly good and would make good limited run series on their own, I binged 3 episodes last nigh and wanted to do a 4th that has not happened in a while. I did not like Midnight Mass that much, I am glad I can still depend on Mike Flanagan for a good show. Going to have to start Bly Manner.
She Hulk- Incomplete grade. My curiosity was more about wanting to know why a character that made her first comic appearance in 1980 was triggering the twitterverse in 2022. I liked that they poked fun at that and the cameos were excellent, which they also poked fun at. Other than the cameos, it's just not for me. I made it to the Thee Stallion episode before I said: Marvel overload.
