I'll add my subjective .002 to the discussion and say that CJ Stroud is playing better than Bryce Young and its not particularly close either. Stroud enjoys the 3rd best QBR in college football while Young sits at 11th. Both guys have had two "gimme" games and yet Strouds stats pop more while having played the harder team in ND so far compared to ALA (Univ of Texas).

Ohio St may enjoy more "weapons" but lets not act like Alabama is devoid of talent LOL. It will be a fun comp and debate as the year unfolds and I think Bryce Young is a heck of a QB, but personally would swing with Stroud and his measurables come draft time if Young doesnt start to put together some games reminiscent of 2021 (and if Davis Mills has proven that he cant be the guy). I'd be happy with Young or another young QB as a consolation prize if Stroud was not available though.

He is not the better prospect because of the height/quickness/speed. The ability to play the position is based on physical aspects also. The thing he is great at in college will be affected because the NFL is bigger/faster and stronger.

You should probably get Young’s height right if you’re gonna make this argument.

Players in the SEC are just as tall or taller in the NFL. I have no problem with Young's height. If 5'9 Kyler Murray can succeed, so can Young.

Are you really saying Will Lewis is a better prospect than Bryce Young?

He is NOT Murray. Murray is much quicker and is faster. Makes a HUGE difference.

What I'm saying, NFL people may look at Will Lewis as a better NFL QB prospect because he has better measurables.

Is Lewis a better QB now? Hell No.

CJ Stroud is the QB the Texans would be looking at.

McShay says scouts are saying this. You won't get official measurements until the Combine. Scouts can visual compare him to other players and MAY have inside info. Teams list players at whatever they want.

I don't know enough about Lewis. There will be other QBs that emerge. Stroud would be my choice right now. Don't know enough about others at the moment.

Then why would you post stuff like this?

“CJ Stroud or the Kentucky QB are probably better Pro Options.”

“He is not the better prospect because of the height/quickness/speed.”

Definitely, I think Murray is faster, quicker whatever but I think Young does it differently. He's more poise and although he's not as quick as Murray, he does have escapability.

Reading what some scouts have said. I don't pay attention to College QBs until November/December.

You may have missed on Mahomes with predecessor QB's out of tech being garbage or just system quarterbacks.

If the choice came down to drafting Stroud or another yr of Mills, which would you chose?

His name being Levis not Lewis was a pretty solid clue to that effect.

Exactly. The son shall not suffer from the iniquity of the father. You can't judge them all based on the system they run.
I say that but I'm not a Stroud fan. But it's not because he plays at OhioSt but I'm willing to listen.

Young being 5'11 isn't so bad. I thought he was 5'8-5'9 with shoes. I wish all sports teams could be honest with their charts.

Waiting for baby Manning feels a decade away in NFL years.
