Most likely, our future starting pg isn’t on the roster currently. If tyty can be a good backup as a late first, i’d be happy
Here are Post Ups by MVP candidates Embiid and Jokic: per NBA.com 19/20:..........Reg Season........................... Playoffs ..................poss..... frequency............poss....... frequency Embiid:........8.3..............36.8...................9.8................33.6 Jokic:...........4.8...............24.6...................4.9................21.0 20/21: Embiid:........9.3...............36.5...................8.5................22.6 Jokic:............5.8...............24.6...................6.3................22.7 21/22: Embiid:.........7.8...............28.0...................4.5................19.5 Jokic:.............5.2...............21.6...................9.6................32.7 In 19/20 Post Ups we're still a thing....but teams/players have learned that playoff defenses are better equipped to deal with it than reg season. Neither have much success getting past 2nd round. I have Sengun with 8 to 10 post ups but I'm going to have to lower that number after seeing MVP candidates going with fewer reps. ---------------- Sengun started 13 games; which means he faced many a 2nd team unit defender when you tabulate his season totals. Remember that. In those 13 games as a starter: Player................FG%.......TS%.........+/- Sengun:.............45.6%......52.8....... -10.5 Porter:................41.5%......53.1....... -7.0 ( season ) 21/22 season: per basketball-reference.com Sengun: @rim: 225 FGA's......67.1 FG%.....73 Ast'd.......43.6 %Ast'd Porter: @ rim: 164 FGA's.......64.6 FG%.....48 Ast'd.......26.7 %Ast'd So Sengun has a higher FG% because more of his shoots at the rim were assisted. Porter had to go vs some of the toughest wing defenders to get to the rim. Sengun had luxury of rebound- put backs. Part of his job description. 21/22 season: per basketball-reference.com Sengun: Layups: 211 FGA's......55.5 FG%....51 Ast'd.....43.6 %Ast'd Porter: Layups: 198 FGA's.........47.5 FG%...22 Ast'd.....23.4 %Ast'd Again, Sengun helped by others assisting him more and put back Layups results in greater FG%. Clint Capela has a TS% over 60% every year......I don't think I want him running point either.
Why do people keep posting red roadies tweets like the mean something? Might as well post that ugly girl's stuff too. Rowdy girl or whatever. T
You should post the rankings for things tossed at head coaches. You'll like that one even better, KPJ is MILES ahead! Yessir!
That to me says terrible shot selection. Particularly when everyone on the team got crazy open shot percentages .... Again, this offense saw EG get 96.3% of his shots with No defender within 4 feet & everyone except KPJ & Mathews had numbers in the 60%+ range. That's a huge part of why Wood was able to shoot ~40% from deep. Even Jalen Green was "open" on right at 42% of his total 3 point shots. And that 7.6% you cite isn't correct according to NBA.com Players Shooting Dashboard Closest Defender Stats | NBA.com Porter saw no defender within 6 feet on 12.6% No defender within 4 feet on 30.4% So slightly better than Jalen Greens 42% figure of open 3 balls.
Stop quoting that guy like he's a source. He's been proven to post incorrect stats on several occasions. He's a source for bullshiit.
They probably got it from that Bradeaux moron or the other red rowdy twitter dude that posts similar crap.
I don't see him as worthless .... I think he can help a team if he's in the right role. Starting point guard isn't that role. He needs to come off the bench as an instant offense type that can also play quality defense. He and Green are redundant on the offensive end IMO. My argument in this thread is more about the money some want to throw at him ..... $25m is just stupid for what he brings. Even @DaDakota is at half that figure having stated 12-13m .... I'm at his cap hold of $9.65m for an extension right now and if we don't get a deal done before the season "bring me your best RFA offer" next offseason and we'll match if it's not an overpay.
Where do I see the 73 ast'd and 48 ast'd at the rim stats, or at the rim stats generally? can you give a link?
You have no proof other than you saying it is fake news - why should anyone believe you? You got any proof? DD
There's that selective memory again forgetting what happened in the past. Who said I was referring to Houston? He still leads the leaderboard even when you take away the Houston incident. I just love how you know full well the Cleveland incident, but you try to stick to your absurd reality by trying to come up with a technicality of head vs assistant coach to 'get me'. Haha classic DD. Oh oh oh, let me stop you right there. I'll say it for you DD. 'He'S oNlY 21' (actually 22) KPJ leads another leaderboard by a mile too! Yessir! It's the leaderboard for most times a PG dribbles inside the three point line, picks up his dribble, has no idea what he's going to do next, spins 360 trying to find passing options, but has none because none of the other players on the court understand what in the world he's doing and why he picked up the dribble in the first place. I don't even think there's a second place on that leaderboard actually. Yessir. KPJ in the top lists all over the place! It's dumbfounding how he doesn't have a new contract with all the leaderboards he's topping!
