Obviously Silas needs to play Garuba more when he is healthy.

I think most if not all of them are older than Usman.

I found it. He is the youngest player on the team (of 12 total players) and has played the 5th most minutes. Along with the most blocks and 2nd most rebounds and 2nd most assists. Shooting 12/14 from the free throw line.

WTF is not to like out of that??

Garuba was playing like this in the G league but everyone was too caught up in the box to watch the full games. When he infamously said he wanted the ball it was to pass to others.

    Lol

Many famous NBA players in those Euro teams.
They are not weak, especially in semi-finals.

Highlights from the game. Garuba can be seen all throughout.

Offensively, it looks like Spain played a ton of pick and rolls with Garuba, and he flourished.

It will be interesting to see how he does against much better interior D (and probably a bigger frontcourt?) in the finals against Gobert and France.

It amazes me people are ready to give up on a 1st round pick who was injured half the year. This is not a championship caliber team that needs a free roster spot.

Just a terrific bounce pass from Garuba. That was not easy!

yeah, I dont get it. They want Garuba and Sengun and all the other children to be great from jump. Let them play and fumble around all they want and coach them up. We have a couple more years until we can start whining about them not being ready.

You really should just take L on this.

As a Rockets fan you should be happy he proves you wrong.

Garuba is at most a role player, every single other player we have drafted has a much higher upside than he does....people are celebrating 4 points a few boards and some blocks - he did have some nice assists but he isn't going to get the ball in the NBA.

I still see him in the Gleague for most of the year getting better.

His injuries were what was throwing us off. We knew the talent was there but can he stay on the court?

heaven forbid if the rockets end up with some players that fit roles and possibly do them at a very high caliber within that role.

Every single player drafted was drafted higher than him with Josh Chirst tied with im. Garuba seems to be that he has a decent chance to beceom the exact player/role that he was drafted to be.

I am curious to see a lineup next year of a defensive guard if drafted in the top 10 after this season.

2023 draft pick - For example 6'7" height
Anthony Black stands out as a big time talent, even in a gym filled with talent. The 6-7 point guard/wing showed off his elite feel for the game and his ability to make plays for teammates. He’s got great size on the perimeter. He reminds a bit of Josh Giddey with how he plays with his head up and sees the floor. Makes the game look easy.

    Jalen Green
    Tari Eason
    Jabari Smith
    Usman Garuba

Garuba hasn't shown that he could shoot. But dam he's look pretty good at the little things. His passes are on point also.

Most of us, at least me, saw his potential as a poor man's Draymond aka a really good role player. Make no illusions the Jalen Green draft was about Jalen Green. If we got three role players and a star in Green then we succeeded. That's how drafts work.
