That explains how you think KPJ will have all star numbers. Sengun did not hit a rookie wall, he is not a 41% shooter, that's simply it. Just like KPJ's last 7 games cannot be used to justify a huge contract. I never mentioned or talked about screen-n-pop or pick-n-roll. As you can see below Sengun leads the rookies in screen assists. These help KPJ's stats either as assists if he is the passer, or catch and shoot 3 if he is the shooter. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/hustle?PlayerPosition=&PlayerExperience=Rookie The problem is you have a narrative in your mind, that KPJ suffers because his teammates are bad and you are looking at everything to see it. You ignore all the benefits KPJ has in playing with the current teammates, or at a bottom team. By the same token, Houston's opponents let their guards all season long, because we were a tanking team. While this is not entirely true, it is much more accurate than Dallas's opponents letting their guards down when Doncic is out.
too long lol. I disagree but that’s the beauty of it. we will see what happens and as he is unlikely to get extended we will see next off-season.
Please post a link to any of those "Prominent NBA analysts" and tell us why they should be listened to over Lebron, or Ackerman, or Damian Lilliard, or Kevin Love who all gush about the talent of KPJ. Look you don't like him, you are going to throw the bathwater out with the baby to try to denigrate him. Neither of us are going to agree - the proof will be in the pudding. DD
https://open.spotify.com/episode/1FKulvhyCUOfVLjMOgsLjP?si=aRgy60mRSTiA30wttQOc1Q A podcast talking about current rebuilds. They talk about Houston and how they view our prospects and what they would feel comfortable paying a certain someone. Spoiler alert. KPJ fans won’t agree.
Not sure what NBA analyst the other poster is referring to but Lebron nor anyone of those other players are infallible either.
TyTy fell in the draft due to a lingering ankle injury that he dealt with for a big part of the yr. Before that he was a projected lottery pick and the top ranked PG in the draft. https://www.nbadraft.net/players/tyty-washington/ KPJ was never ranked that high due to both his on and off the court bad decision making. He was lucky to get drafted where he did. With the last pk in the 1st. https://www.nbadraft.net/players/kevin-porter/ Get your facts straight Booby.
KPJ 2k rating is disrespectful lol how tf is Tate a 78 but KPJ is 77? If Tate is 77, and Green is 82, KPJ should be 80-82
He did hit the wall and you won't admit it. I said one indicator would be a decrease in 3P%. We (Rockets fans) saw this with Sam Dekker. I called it before it happened. Only 18 minutes a game and coming off the bench I told you and @hakeem94 and others, that's why you don't start Sengun. 52 games is a long stretch of 3P% of 21%. Tate did his job of hitting 38% in the final 15 games of the season.... now I need Sengun to do the same this year. Yes, this is important for Sengun to hit 3's for all of Green, KPj and J Christopher to be successful in drive and pass. I have confidence the hard work Tate has done all summer, especially his corner 3-ball will plan out for all of us. The actuality is not about KPj cult fans acting like Lin Only Fans....actually it's Sengun cult fans wanting to eliminate to competition so the pecking order goes from Green, KPj, JC, Sengun to Green, Sengun, JC, to new guy TyTy or Scoot Henderson. Sengun taking advantage of the Rockets training up someone to get to where KPj is now. I'm not predicting All Star numbers but a slight uptick from the numbers he garnished at the end of the season when teams focused on Green and Tate supplied some space. Now enter Ta-Bari which should help as well. I'm not about any one singular Rocket....I'm about the good of the team. I'm not sure those wanting KPj out are all about the team or one singular player...Sengun? Green? TyTy? Scoot Henderson?
I get that you're saying this.... but if that was true, he wouldn't have looked pathetic in summer league. He's just not very good at anything. He lacks athleticism and playmaking, isn't a very good shooter, isn't a lock down defender. I'm honestly not sure what you think you see in him. If he really was some lottery quality PG, why was he the 3rd best "PG" in a summer league team with Nix and Christopher? Is not like either of those guys are any good. He was a scrub amongst scrubs..... but sure, I guess we can indulge in fantasy and pretend he's something more than an RGV caliber guard.
It’s straight trash. I think KPJ should be around 83. His ball handling and 3 point shooting should be really high. I don’t see how Jalen is 5 points higher when speed, jumping, and dunking are the only things he’s better at. Idk, it’s a complete miss by those guys
Cause Jalen the big star They didn’t even change his hair to shaved. They definitely telling KPJ F you lol
As I watch KPJ blossom into a beautiful point guard butterfly this season, the only though I’m gonna have in my head while watching is “**** king1”
Yeah, pretty much! Jalen is the face of the franchise so he’s gonna get more love. KPJ definitely sees all of that, so I’m hoping it really fuels him. I’m expecting around 22/4/7 LFG!!
you rant about Post ups and Sengun being inefficient but Sengun’s ts% is higher than porter. That literally says he is more efficient and this is despite his horrible 3 pt shooting. But you can believe he is inefficient.
That guy is an ignorant troll, never adds anything to any discussion, better off ignoring him like most do. lies about knowing athletes, just a lonely troll. DD
