The lawyer lady said that DeSantis ensured that no help would await these migrants.

    False. They were helped immediately.

How are you sure that these migrants had "legal" status?

If people broke laws flying people to MV, then charge them. Until then, it makes sense to let the facts come out.

Remember how the GOP controlled both Congress and Presidency and they couldn’t put together any immigration reform…

… they got tax cuts done and increased the tax code complexity for their wealthy buddies then peed and went to bed.

People forget that it takes at least 60 votes to pass a majority of bills. The GOP is currently a shitstain on this country but they are also limited as long as the filibuster remains.

It is legal to seek asylum. They are asylum seekers. Their status would be currently legal.

I don't know but I sure hope there is a law on the book that makes it illegal to intentionally interfere with the lawful application for asylum.

If they have been granted asylum, then I digress.

If the migrants were illegally in the US DeSantis might’ve broken the law as he technically trafficked them. He has no jurisdiction over people outside of the Florida and the Constitution says that issues of immigration and border enforcement are under the federal government.

Having spent time on cape cod when I was younger I know first hand that there have been many “illegal immigrants” there. When I was younger I remember meeting several Irish and Portuguese working the service industry there. Most of them can in on tourist visas and worked illegally.

I was there a month ago and there was a big need for labor. Tourist season is ended but if they can settle these people they likely will find many willing to hire them next Summer.

He can be collateral damage in this if laws were broken. The goal is to wake up the country to this crisis. The media and politicians cant ignore this forever. This is more than a Texas problem.

If their status is legal, how is giving them a free trip to Martha's Vineyard "human trafficking"?

It is legal to seek it. They are legal until their case is decided. Then they are either granted asylum or not.

Because they were lied to, tricked in ways to try and end their legal asylum seeking status, promised jobs and housing that didn't exist.

Trafficking isn't how I would describe it. But maybe it fits.

Right, immigration status or citizenship has nothing to do with it.

And he might’ve broken the law doing so.

Also DeSantis move does nothing to address people illegally working while coming in on tourist visas.

That's hearsay, presented to us by an angry, hysterical Karen.

Arguably, they came to the United States with the expectation of receiving jobs and housing, anyway.

And these 50 people now most likely have a much better opportunity to get all of that than the thousands still stuck in border towns.

DeSantis helped them, and exposed the left's hypocrisy. Killing two birds with one stone.

    Winning - once again.

If you’re illegally moving people to exploit them,
In this case for political benefit, that would fit the definition of trafficking.

As stated if they are here legally applying for asylum then that isn’t a crime. And technically they are not illegal immigrants.

He also spent $600,000 of Florida’s tax payer money with no direct benefit to Florida.
