Out of curiosity, do you actually talk to the all the nurses you come across and take a random poll to confirm your findings? I mean if we are hearing that nurses are stressed, they are likely stressed, no?

What do you think is so physically hard about a nurse's job? How ami ******** on them? I like talking to nurses if I'm there. Bathing someone may seem unpleasant to us but nurses go about day to day duties like this in a routine manner
I do talk them, I really don't see them behaving like they are under stress. The pandemic was a unique situation but they are all always very pleasant
The fact that it's unpleasant but they have to go about it in a routine manner is one of the reasons their job deserves some appreciation. It's like saying brain surgery may seem hard to us, but brain surgeons go about it in a routine manner so we shouldn't really worry about appreciating what they do.
Are they unappreciated? Can you think of any other profession (with such a low barrier of entry) where one can easily earn around 6 figures? The nclex has a pass rate of over 85%, right?
Because people are arguing that their job is physically demanding and so I'm bringing up what are considered things they do that are considered the unpleasant situations they deal with. I wrote that nurses do most of the day to day reporting on a patient's condition so I already demonstrated an appreciation for their importance on the over all patient well being
Clearly, you have no idea what you're talking about based on your last paragraph alone. Nursing isn't one floor during one stay in the hospital.. it's a wide variety of jobs, the bad ones, where levels are critical, people won't remember their time there. Being in the hospital a couple times in no way makes you an expert on nurses. It does make it laughable when you tell other people they don't know what they're talking about.
I honestly think these numbers are crazy. I know tons of nurses. None of which make six figures. In California, I'm sure they do. Most states, they do not. Can you make a nice salary? Of course. Is nursing staffing dangerous to patients? In many places. As I've stated before ( and @LosPollosHermanos ), the issue is travel nursing, and hospitals supporting their staff. One way to fix that? A slight raise for nurses. Not 30%. 10-15% would fix most issues. The travel nursing issue is a big deal and will rear its head sooner or later. Workers should largely be cheering other workers throwing their weight against corporations when the labor scale is tipped in their favor. This is that, plus the safety of sick people is at risk. Nothing more, nothing less. Some of the takes here are so uneducated and hilarious that it's eye opening. @pgabriel , what did you do for a living? You don't know whether nursing is physically demanding or not. The correct answer is it's physically and/or mentally demanding. My wife is in great shape. She comes home exhausted every time after a 13 hour shift of running back and forth from the OR to the ER, dealing with a car accident, then a gunshot, then a guy that ripped his ankle off on a motorcycle, then a kid that was run over. Followed by a guy who stuck something up his pee hole for the fifth time in two months, then a gangrenous body part because someone couldn't take care of themselves. It doesn't get any easier the more you see it. This is her experience only. It can vary widely depending on what kind of nursing you're doing. Let's not pretend like we know things we don't know.
