Even better to see the grumpy boomers come around after they hemmed and hawed most of last season! Should I post Jalens latest pic of his painted nails for levity? edit: Posted it anyway!
LOL @ building around Mobley who cant even create for himself or others!! "but he's the best defender everrrr" YIKES where is Alperen Sengun on that list? Our Euro buds will not be happy! Since we're about to derail another thread with Clutch Fans elite levels of petty lets go all the way!! Jalens "efficiency" vs KPJ's "efficiency"
Come on, Mobley is not a guy you build around. Maybe a defense but it feels like he's got to have a Garland and Allen types around him to succeed
Jalen "beefcake" Green Also is this photoshopped? This picture is from the Rockets official Facebook page so I doubt it but something about the blurr around his biceps looks odd.
Mobley will need guys like Garland. I'd have him lower on the list, but he still deserves to be on the list. I see Smith a lot like Mobley on impact on defense except Smith excels shooting and Mobley excels close and at the rim on offense.
I think mainly because he has not shown that he's an elite offensive player. Similar with Jabari Smith, if he can't create, he can't be the alpha guy. Personally, I think Jabari's offensive skills will be more valuable in today's NBA. On defense, they will probably be about equal.
It's probably a hang over from the fanwars of that particular draft. I'm still more than happy with Green (who was my choice) but I see crazy potential in Mobley, and have no problem admitting it. I think barring injury that young man's going to be an incredibly good basketball player.
Mobley looks like he could be incredible. But absolutely nothing he did last year can justify putting him over Garland, Lamelo, Zion or Edwards. I think that's where the issue is. Seems a little hot takey.
