Yeah, it's just not satisfying when the battle's result is due to the victor being lucky and the loser acting stupidly (after supposedly winning the war for 3 years).
Dude was built up to be super spooky too, with the whole "crabs feeding on corpses" thing, but in the end, he was just a regular villain who didn't speak, with a messed up face, backed by a pedestrian army that had no other option than to hide in caves. Considering it was an all-out war at that point, couldn't you just order your fleet of dragons to raze the enemies' supply of incoming food and water, and just starve them out so that they had no choice but to eventually come out of the caves? Really lazy writing + completely forgettable villain.
I felt like it was more unsatisfying that we never really learned much about Crabfeeder than the battle or the ending. Feeding nailed folks alive to crab is pretty unique..... be nice to get a little backstory on that fella. Dameon's move seemed more like desperation than something he could have pulled anytime. I felt like the Crabfeeder arc would be short but they made him too much of a blatant plot device to make Dameon stronger.
someone said that the crab dude had greyscale and that when the kings brother killed him and carried out his torso he wasnt wearing gloves and had his blood all over him. i didnt catch the greyscale, but did anyone else notice that?
Definitely. Maybe the plot of HOD will now involve Daemon in a nursing home with grayscale. It will slow down from here.
Thought they were doing well, three episodes in, until the crabbies came out of their cave for no apparent reason whatsoever and got slaughtered. It was moronic. But I did like it up until that point. Hard to believe that nobody in the writing room thought that was dumb when nobody watching the show thought it credible. I still would put the show in the plus category right now and worth watching.
Episode 3 was turrible. As everyone else noted, Crabfeeders were winning with excellent strategy, only to be mindlessly mowed down for plot reasons. The rest of the episode was boring. The first two episodes weren't bad. Quite good story telling. But episode 3, wow, what a stinker.
Man, episode 4 and I continue to not to care about this ish at all. This is some Briderton type stuff. Im ready for this big time skip.
So far I'd say it's average - lacks the tension of GOT where you were always wondering who was about to be killed or get backstabbed. This just seems like a lot of politics and watching adolescents grow up into adults or adults act like adolescents.
I've been enjoying each episode so far, wife and I pretty much spent this last episode making this face.....
That’s because they hire writers who can’t write like when John let Yoko sing on the record Paul was like nah breh the Beatles ended
