The only reason I could see of getting rid of Click so quickly is if you are bringing Luhnow back. Click has not done anything to warrant a firing at this point.
It's unclear who made the final decisions, but he oversaw the losses of stars and fan favorites Springer and Correa without finding significant offensive replacements. If they lose in the playoffs due to offensive ineptitude, and if Crane did really want to keep Correa, then it could fall at Click's feet given that the contract Correa signed ultimately was affordable this year. But there are a ton of "ifs" in those statements.
If Dusty wants to come back, and we win the ALCS (at least, if not the WS), I expect Crane to bring him back, and replace Click. Stearns from MIL is somebody who I have heard connected. Rumor is his deal is expiring and someone else may pay him more money to leave Milwaukee. He is also familiar with Crane as a former Luhnow assistant.
The league is going to learn to stop playing with the big man that dude over in NY is not the only one with a big time arm.
Yordan is good at hitting, base running and in the outfield. How exactly did the dodgers miss on everything?
I still think the best way to keep Yordan from wearing down is to platoon him with McCormick. Chaz plays left vs LHP Yordan plays left vs RHP and DH vs LHP. He's a big dude carrying around quite a bit of mass.
