I was reading some interviews online with people that have been liberated in this region. Their interviews basically talk about a few things, but it makes it clear that Russia has been scraping the bottom of the barrel on their soldiers:

    1. Unlike other parts of Ukraine, the soldiers were really young, inexperienced and didn't want to be there. They weren't committing the atrocities that were happening by the "professional soldiers" in other parts of the country.
    2. Russians really were preparing this area to just be part of Russia. They were offering Russian citizenship, they were going to hold votes, etc.
    3. In multiple interviews, the citizens said they were thrilled that the soldiers were gone, but almost all said they felt sorry for the younger soldiers that basically got left behind by their officers and had to do things like steal bikes and cars to retreat.
    4. There were definitely different "classes" of soldiers. The ones that had been in the army for a while, and the newly brought up ones that weren't treated like actual soldiers by the other ones. Those are the ones that basically got left behind to get killed or captured.

If Russia starts shooting at its own client states it probably means the end is closer than you think..

Maybe Putin needs to consult Trump for some 3D Chess pointers?

I think this gentleman is very optimistic. What's to prevent the Russian military from hitting the rail line and preventing it's use? Yes, unless it's a bridge, rail damage can be repaired, and rather quickly by those who know what they're doing, but why the Russians wouldn't act to prevent the Ukrainian military from running wild in the Donbas by using the rail lines is a mystery to me.

Armenia is getting attacked by Azerbaijan right now likely due to real or perceived weakness from Russia.

@basso is considered a RINO these days due to his continued support of NATO over Russia.
