Yup, this is the one thing that could hurt Fetterman. His campaign will point out that even the victim said that he hopes Fetterman wins the election and should not be judged on one event. It is still something that Fetterman has to deal with though.
Why? He's far more coherent than Trump, and Republicans trusted him with national security secrets and nuclear weapons.
Why would they? He just had a major stroke at the end of May. He has returned to normal when speaking one on one or to small groups of people. He struggles speaking to large groups of people. This is very common for people that are still recovering from a stroke, it is called an auditory processing disorder and it goes away with time. Typically it takes 6 months to a year to get back to normal and isn't indicative of a loss of memory or intellect. Fetterman is having a hard time filtering out external stimuli, which is what was hard for my brother as well. FWIW I was curious and looked it up, two US Senators have had a stroke in the last year and have auditory processing disorder and have continued to serve in the Senate. In polling, voters are claiming that Fetterman's language gaffs won't matter, but I am not so sure. I think it is politically something that should be concerning to his campaign but it is too early to see how big a difference it will make.
This makes total sense I was surprised his voice was so strong he did seem a bit off, but that totally fits into the auditory processing disorder. And you could tell that clip was edited if those were the worse parts, then it's not bad at all. With that said, I might not be in too much of a hurry to debate, if I would debate at all.
@Salvy Too many white people Need a Turkish guy to represent @AroundTheWorld The other dude sounds like he smoked too much hookah
Wow is that really real? The campaign doesn't see how pathetic that sounds? I think Trump has proved time and time again that bravado and channeling people's anger and insecurity is the way to get them to open up their wallets. Just make up something to get people to be angry about. Oz sounds like a pathetic loser in those texts and no one want to be on the team of the loser.
Not only that, but think about the optics. Dude is already being owned for being an elitist with multiple houses throughout the land that spends little to no time in the state. He got raked for the crudité thing. Now, here's this doctor begging people for money at a time when inflation is high and people are struggling. What a poorly run campaign.
