Other than a few good plays by Stingley, I would saw our celebrated rookie class had about zero impact today. Did our #13 pick even get a snap today or did the development of the 2 journeyman guards take precedent?
You think the Texans honestly think they have a shot at the playoffs? That's the only reason to be content with a tie... Excuse me while I clean up my drink I just snorted out...
Texans really thought a game script centered around giving or trying to give the ball to burkhead almost every play was going to beat the colts LOL. Classic Texans, oh well at least we are playing for a high draft pick. Never trusting Pierce in fantasy ever again with this coachin
EXACTLY! This team isn't going anywhere anyway, you might as well see if the young guys can pull off a win. You give it to Pierce on 3rd and 1 over Burkhead, you give Mills a chance to win it or lose it on 4th and 3. You don't need to protect the record because the Texans aren't a playoff team anyway.
We have the longest odds to win the superbowl, and odds are, we don't make the playoffs by being division champs, since both TEN and IND should be better than us. Never say never is a thing, but I don't think we're making the playoffs, this season. With that said, if you're not playing for a playoff spot, you're playing to get the highest draft pick possible. And in that case, a tie is significantly worse than losing outright. But also, we shouldn't be playing for a tie, either. If you're going to play, then play.
Yep. It's called player development. No better situation than that. While I thought Pep called a great game, the rest of the coaching was mediocre to awful.
They had just missed a 42 hard field goal. They would have needed to go about 15 yards to be able to have the opportunity to kick that same field goal. They would have had 25 seconds or less to do it. You're saying you don't trust the defense?
