there are 330 million Americans (give or take a few), and 1.3 million Americans with top secret security clearance (give or take a few). That's approximately 0.39 % of the U.S. population if I've done my math right. What is your definition of "normal citizen"? A soldier who has top secret clearance does not appear to be "normal" in the sense of close to the average citizen.
Once again, Julian Assange says hi. Maybe he's not American enough to fit under your definition though.
https://www.npr.org/2022/08/31/1120...-or-moved-classified-material-from-mar-a-lago So sources confirmed that documents were likely removed from Mar-a-Lago and now there is a video of Trump moving boxes three days after the National Archives first asked for missing documents to be returned.
Why do you think this is important? Or, are you just arguing for a sake of it? Anyhow. Trump never had a security clearance. As President, he didn't need one. As a citizen, he no longer has the clearance. The day after his Presidency, he's part of the 99+%.
Pretty sure I am a "normal" citizen. I had a Top Secret DoD clearance. I read and had access to classified documents a few times in my life. I had a computer support analyst job. I went home to my suburban lifestyle and my wife and 2 kids after work. I participate in inane conversations on the Internet. I watched Seinfeld and ate fast food. I coached (not well) soccer. I played softball and drank beer. I knew a number of people who also had the same level of clearance and a few who were a bit above ( I think they had access to documents with the SCI designation). They were all "normal" citizens as well.
Truth be told, a normal citizen stealing and hoarding federal records would NEVER get this special treatment. No way in hell.
Not only does he refuse to acknowledge Assange and Snowden, but apparently @Os Trigonum has never heard of Anna de Rothschild. She appears to be a potential Russian spy that was accessing Mar A Lago. She was there at least five times in recent years, even posing for a photo with Trump and Graham. She's a clear imposter of some sort. Ran some sort of Russian charity out of Miami that was rampant with fraud. Gave an address to a mansion that she never lived in. Had multiple fake passports. And she was let through Mar A Lago with little to no background checks. Seriously. Any government knows how to get to Trump. Send a semi-attractive, or better looking, rich, young woman to his resort, and she'll get a face to face with him as easily as buy a cheeseburger for him at McDonald's. If these governments wanted Trump dead, it'd be easy. He's way too valuable to them for that, though. Clear McNothingburger.
and Trump was the President of the United States. That makes his circumstances different, wouldn't you say?
As I've posted before, if I walked away from my desk and left a TS document out, I'd be immediately fired and face criminal prosecution.
pretty sure you weren't the President of the United States though . . . as I've posted before, that makes his circumstances different, no?
Please read your question that I responded to. To refresh, you asked to define a "normal citizen" who would have TS clearance. You didn't seem to think a soldier with TS clearance was a normal citizen. I gave you a personal, first hand example of the types of people who have TS clearances.
