Jimbo lost that game by not changing quarterbacks. App State came to play and deserved to win, but I don’t think it happens if you get better play from your QB. He’s clearly not ready yet. So many things you could point to though, maybe QB wouldn’t have mattered. **** happens.
I remember just yesterday when people were saying Hayes King was the best QB prospect in the country.
He’s still a good prospect, he’s just not a good quarterback yet. He probably shouldn’t be starting. In his defense, his OL didn’t do him any favors either. The whole team took a collective **** on the field today.
I strongly disagree. The Aggies only gave up 17 points. The Aggie offense had a total of 14 points and 186 total yards. Last week Appalachian State gave up 63 points yards and 567 yards. Appalachian State did a good job grinding out first downs, but they still only had 17 points. The Aggie offense really only scored 7 points as one touchdown came off a kick return. The Aggie offense was just plain bad and it cost them the game.
Given all their incoming talent and the, um, new rules, ... is this the most expensive upset loss in the history of college football?
Aggie offense was garbage, I agree. But that defense let App St. have 41 min time of possession to 18 min for Aggies. That’s bad
This is so so much better than the Cleveland tourism videos b/c it's not obvious how much of the bad is intentional. It's just a genius level piece of art, like something from Matthew Barney at the peak of his powers.
Offense plays a part there too if they can't stay on the field and put together drives. They forgot to invest any NIL money in a kicker. That shank to tie the game late was horrible.
