    As I’ve said before criminal justice reform is one of the things I credit Trump for doing and for working with Democrats to do it. Criminal justice reform isn’t the same as Defund the Police. We can still and should have capable LE but at the same time we need to be addressing how many non violent offenders we lock up.

    This country incarcerates more people than any other first world country yet we have more crime. Just locking up so many people isn’t the answer. We should be focusing on violent offenders and addressing cases like this where the person also had mental health issues.

    I’ve done they drill but never herd it called that. Yes a knife within 20 feet is very dangerous. Someone with a knife can easily get at someone with a gun if it’s not already in firing position.

    I think this is a state by state thing but as a sword owner in my state there are regulations about carrying swords.. I was open carrying a sword for a martial arts demonstration and was told by an LEO I couldn’t have it out.

    This is the same story though most of the Midwest. The rural areas have been hammered by the de line in family farms with large agribusinesses dominating.

    If we lock them up at least make them do something productive to society
    Farm or construction work
    For violent criminals allow them to be human experiments
    For science

    send them to the moon to test science stuff, why waste other animals?
