Pena hit really, really well in the 2spot earlier in the year, with no Brantley and Yuli being Yuli I have no problems with them trying him back there for a bit to see what happens. What to do in the postseason is still a quandry to me. Chas vs LHP? Vazquez? I dunno. ETA: before tonight, last 6 games since they moved him back to 2nd: .314 .314 .343 .657 His power has just vanished over the past 3 months though, regardless of where you put him.
Damnnn 18 straight scoreless innings for Abreu. He needs to be the top option in the bullpen come playoffs when Pressley is back
It was not so long ago that when Yordan hit a ball it went 400 feet further than that. I certainly got spoiled.
It's ridiculous at this point, I thought the time off would help him get right but the dude continues to an absolute joke at the plate. Maybe this is just who he is as a player, a streaky power hitter w/ mediocre vision at the plate.
Only amazing because the pitcher lollygagged the throw to 1B. He makes a normal throw and Pena's dead at 3rd. Now, did Pena read that or go on instinct?
Pena should be halfway to the plate on his lead putting pressure on the pitcher. Pettis, get your head out your ass.
