I don't know if you heard, but there have been a lot of staffing issues around the country. Also, government benefits were increased during COVID. I'm sure it is because everyone finally realized how bad it is to be a teacher though.
Well if it was such a great gig why wouldn’t more problem be rushing to fill these open spots especially now that COVID benefits have ended? Also there were teacher shortages already before COVID.
Biden did mandate vaccines among federal employees, including the military. Federal contractors were also included (something the 11th Circuit recently said was overly broad). He hopefully realized he didn't have the authority to mandate vaccines among the general population. Where he did have that authority (or thought he did), he used it.
Which is why it isn't accurate to say he mandated vaccines for the nation. It only affected a small minority.
