Liz Truss officially became Britain's new Prime Minister on Tuesday, 6 Sep 2022. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/who-is-liz-truss-britains-new-prime-minister/

she started her political career as a bleeding heart liberal, a wokester; to say that she has made a 180 degree turn would be putting it mildly

Truss initially campaigned against Brexit, but she changed her position after the public referendum supported the exit from the European Union.

her most memorable media moment was in 2014. when she was giving a speech railing against import cheese.

"At the moment, we import two thirds of all of our apples. We import nine tenths of all of our pears. We import two thirds of our cheese. That is a disgrace!" she declared.

In the same speech, she boasted about heading soon to the China, to open "up new pork markets."

The remark, which she followed with a broad smile and slightly awkward pause
as she appeared to be waiting for applause, continues to be one of Truss's most meme-ed moments.

    Sunak would have been better.

Europe is getting hit hard by the gas sanctions.

It wouldn't be surprising to claim it'll be much more different by next March and any leadership managing this duration will have to pull out some epic level work.

Liz Truss doesn’t seem to have much popular support and given all the other problems the Uk is facing it wouldn’t surprise me if she has a short term as PM.

She's going to need to be flexible to try to undo all the damage caused by Brexit. An ideologue would just make things that much worse.

Damn. I kind of feel bad for Liz Truss now. That was brutal.

I think this applies to pretty much any developed nation right now.

Before she had flip-flopped on imports and Brexit, Liz Truss was for the abolishment of the monarchy.

Following the Queen’s death at 96 on Thursday, Truss took a different tone,
calling the longest-reigning monarch in British history “the rock on which modern Britain was built.”

She said “I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected.”

Just a day earlier Truss had vowed to stay in power, saying she was “a fighter and not a quitter.”

I wouldve liked to see the betting lines about who would last longer.

They should've done put an avocado versus Liz Truss.

Liberal Cancel Culture has destroyed yet another Conservative Patriot ... never mind the British financial market and the value of the British pound £.
