3 errors today...those were costly. Yuli needs to be lower in batting order...8th or 9th. JJ will probably be sent back down soon...give Hensley more batting attempts.

Astros are just getting bored. No they don't have the offense they've had in years past but still plenty good enough to win it all and I'm confident we'll see them click by the end of September. From the starters to bullpen this will be the best pitching staff during the Golden Era. Can't expect to be dominant in both offense and pitching.

The one thing keeping Yuli on the field is his defense and even that failed tonight. It's long been past due for him to not be a full time player, but Dusty will keep running him out there.

38 years old yet he's got the longest streak going right now without having a day off.

Pena batting .314 since being put back into the 2 hole (.355 after starting off 0-4).

Pena's plate discipline has been much better. Good sign for the youngin.

Really want to see what we have in Hensley and Diaz before the season ends. Diaz has a better hit tool than JJ who was in our lineup yesterday. Not sure why he isn't getting playing time.

I don't know why Yuli is that high. Maybe Dusty is high and that is why.

The offense could certainly be improved by playing your best hitters.

I'm not sure we can afford Maldy and Yuli getting regular playoff PA.

Yuli can pick. but his overall defense has suffered GREATLY this season. a NEGATIVE 1.0 dWAR at 1B indicates he's not saving us with his defense in any way. For comparison, Mancini with his suspect D and about the same number of PA has a Negative 0.6 dWAR to go with his 2.1 better WAR.

He's like Babe Ruth in 1935. A shell of his former self.

He is only out there because he is a celebrity of sorts in the Cuban Community and ()usty. This is why we should retain him in a front office capacity. Not a playing capacity.

Maybe 1934 Ruth. The decline began in 1933, then accelerated in 1934 before falling off a cliff in 1935. He peeked in his age 37 season. Just like Yuli.

Yuli was past his peak last year. Won the batting title but it wasn’t his most productive year.

I tend to agree, at least partly. I mean really, The Rangers? A series to get your mojo going? :p

Now, you ask any of them and sure, We are playing to win every game!, is what every one of them will tell you.
More than most teams, these guys know the toll October takes.

Now, come October, our guys better remember how to turn their autopilot off.
As things are right now, we would play the winner of a TB vs Seattle, best of 3, in the ALDS.
We better have most of our ducks in a row by then.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that we play the Yankees (4 seed) in the ALDS.
