I don’t know what town you live in but I’m in Minnesota. What do you do with construction companies? And I’m not surprised a lot of construction companies would like to cut regulations. As I said there are some unscrupulous contractors and developers out there.
It can be very rewarding to make a difference in people's lives. I don't know about all teachers, but it is awesome to see work with at risk populations living well below the poverty line grow and learn. Teachers who stay teachers aren't there because of the days off or high pay. Also it can be more fun spending the workday with 8 year old old kids than a bunch of jackasses in an office.

OK then, thanks for the clarification. This is where the message gets ugly with some calling talking about someone liking the same sex as teaching sex or pedophile grooming. There's a big difference between discussing acceptance if a child is bullied or teased for being a sissy or tomboy or such with a class to address the bullying. It's just teaching acceptance if kids question or bully a kid who has two moms or two dads. I certainly don't think those issues being addressed is the same as teaching sexual education or talking about what they do in a bedroom. I don't think you have to get into the specifics of sex to say all people are different. I don't think a book showing two moms or dads is teaching sex, and I don't think counseling an older troubled child who feels different and is depressed about their identity is teaching sex. None of this is pedophile grooming, yet some radicals and politicians call it that to justify banning books or making laws to stop any conversations about the issues mentioned above. It's like that old movie Reaper Madness turned into Pedophile Grooming Hysteria. Unless a child or teenager has been raised as a Quaker or such, with no television, then I doubt there are many who haven't seen gays in movies, tv shows, social media, etc.. You can watch American Idol or Survivor, or Big Brother and see kids or adults that are gay and talk about it. It's impossible to not see or discuss people who aren't straight, if questions come up when they are a part of society.
I don't want young kids to have books that talk about sex in school. There's plenty of time for them to learn about sex. Keep their innocence as long as possible.

Abrams is shredding Kemp. She is obviously smarter than him, a better communicator that him, more charismatic than him, more ambitious and driven as well. I don't know if she wins in a state that is in flux right now, but she is clearly the better candidate in a vacuum.
McConnell is right, the Republicans are possibly not going to win Senate control, and it won't be for any reason other than candidate quality. The Republicans embraced the Trump handbook where name recognition and populism are more important than knowledge and track record. The Democrats need to be cognizant that they still are having issues connecting with a lot of voters.
Okay..... this is self sabotage by the Republicans.... they talk about the Democrats eating their own.... that is exactly what the Republicans are doing on the abortion issue. The Republican leadership needs to reign these people in. The majority of Americans are not going to support stuff like this, regardless of what they may say at church or to each other.... this is a good way to also alienate women and young people. More and more men, especially older white men in positions of authority at the state level voting to restrict abortion exceptions are TERRIBLE optics.
