People should trust the mail in ballots because there were safeguards in place. They have been challenged and investigated time and time again. There has been evidence of massive fraud coming from the mail in ballots or anywhere else. We do have evidence of the President and his crew trying to not count legitimate votes and overturn democracy. There is evidence of that from Trump loyalists and appointees. 2020 was the most secure election we've had. Investigations, recounts, audits video evidence, sworn testimony have all supported the legitimacy of mail in ballots. No credible evidence has shown there to be significant problems with it. All you have brought to the table is that it was new and more than before. That isn't evidence that it was fraudulent. So, yes, people that don't trust something despite all evidence don't really have a leg to stand on.

Bill Barr and Liz Cheney serve the GOP. Plain and simple. They both see that Trump is a losing for elections and will be the catalyst for the Republican Party slipping into a perpetual minority party. When Barr came in as AG he helped Trump the way he helped Bush sr. to get out of trouble because that was the best thing for the party. Our country has made huge advancement in technology, its not that big of a step to modernize the way we vote.
