The Republican party as a whole refused to hold Trump and MAGA extremism accountable. They were and are still willing to ride that wave to the death of American democracy. Biden limited his speech to MAGA but I think if he is to be totally honest, he could have gone even stronger. The fact is today Republican party has shown that it will stand by and watch democracy die. It is now a de-facto anti-democracy movement. A lot of the people who are saying Trump is a clown and not much of a threat you just have to look at how many Trumpists candidates won primaries.
It’s also not just what people are saying. Yes there are people on the Left who say mean and divisive things. In 2018 there weren’t a bunch of Democrats running to decertify the 2016 election. On Jan. 6, 2017 a bunch of Leftist didn’t battle Capitol Police and threaten to hang then VP Joe Biden to overturn the 2016 election. Hillary Clinton did not call for defunding the FBI and there weren’t Clinton supporters trying to kill FBI agents. The danger from the MAGA movement isn’t just rhetoric but where rhetoric actually meets action.
This is bullshit. I have never been around anyone wearing a MAGA hat nor thinking the election was stolen. Most of us hate Trump.You just make this up because you have nothing of substance to offer

I believe Trump won the election. I believe liberals will take my guns away. I believe in the Deep State. You are a threat to our Nation. You are not the problem. Your beliefs in unfounded conspiracies and denial of facts are the problem.
That's a lot of presumption on your part. If they are MAGA then it would make sense that to call them out. MAGA supports not counting votes, denying votes, supporting criminals and not holding people accountable or following the rule of law. So if the person is MAGA, that's different than any of the things they mentioned. They should be called out. The things they mentioned weren't called a threat
Did you watch the speech or read the complete transcript? He went out of his way to be specific and he didn't accuse people of things the guy mentioned in tweet of being a threat.
