I really hope Sengun can improve as a 3 point shooter 36% would be nice. Not this year but in 2-3 years when we are competing.

Sengun's main limitation is his height. As far as I understand, you see many other limitations such as being slow, not strong enough, not athletic enough and as a result being foul prone and not protecting the rim. But the fact that you include Boban in your list of athletic shot blocking bigs, who actually blocks less and fouls more than Sengun despite his lack of experience and being new to the league(the other names are more or less similar), gives me hope that your assessment of Sengun's limitations are wildly off.
Turkey might leave the tournament over all of this. FIBA needs to spend significant time upgrading its officiating program. It's embarrassing.

They aren't....Boban is so big that he is a much better rim protector....it is an either or .....or both situation. Either more athletic, or taller, or both.....all of them give him trouble. DD

Obviously he just the listed names of centers already on the roster. Each of those concerns about Sengun (save for maybe strength) are very much legitimate.
Turkey - Georgia relations is quite similar to USA-Puerto Rico relations (not exactly but similar). No need to passports for travel, Turkey use some Georgian seaport/Airport as internal ports and due to Kars Treaty in 1920s Turkey has a say for Adjara region's International relations. They might beat few Georgians up but the relations will not get sour. Georgians cannot afford the luxury of being hostile to Northerner Russia and Southerner Turkey at the same time. Realpolitik.
I was listening to a few ESPN experts talking about how it’s so hard to build around sabonis and his archetype. I fear that with Sengun bc the NBA has gone away from those kind of big men. Unless he hits a mvp level like jokic, it’s gonna be hard. He’s also a couple of inches shorter than those guys. The 3 ball is gonna be important.
