Biden clearly differentiate between non-MAGA Republican and MAGA Republicans. Even say most Republican are not MAGA.

MAGA, Team Trump, and some that haven't read the transcript or watch the speech - he's talking about all Republicans

You either were misinformed by media, couldn't remember, or just lying.

Read the Full Transcript of Biden’s Speech in Philadelphia - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

But first, we must be honest with each other and with ourselves.

Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic.

Now, I want to be very clear, very clear up front. Not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. I know, because I’ve been able to work with these mainstream Republicans.

So lets break this down. Trump got 70 million votes. That's roughly 1/5 the population. I've not met anyone who admits to being MAGA. Even on this board Trump's fervent defenders say they don't like him. So lets be generous and say 1/2 of those who voted for Trump are not MAGA, but Republicans who held their nose as they voted. So that leaves 1/10 people who are actually MAGA. Lets stop pretending that Trump is wildly popular.

It’s labeling issues - if you are among about half the country that decided to vote for Trump you are just a innocent Jedi trump supporter that is fine but NOT if you are a Sith MAGA republican ,…that would be unnatural

CNN under new leadership is moving toward bothism exactly when one side is extreme and the other side is, with all the faults, normal.

His press secretary clarified his speech beforehand saying that anyone that doesn't agree with the majority is extreme.
"Again, we see a majority of Americans who disagree, and so when you are not with what majority of Americans are, then you know, that is extreme. That is an extreme way of thinking."

not sure what the context was but whatever the context...

She was very clearly wrong to say 'not agreeing with the majority is extreme'

EDIT: I found it. She was wrong. That was also before his speech. So it's not clarifying his speech.

The first step in rejecting extremism is to acknowledge you are an extremist.

    We're all pulling for you...

She seems to be a moron, to be honest. Most of Trump's were morons, too. Biden's previous one was more intelligent, but super b****y. Can they not trot out some better people there?!

It's not an easy job. Lots of things get taken out of context, but there were two things I saw that irked me.

This one about extremism and the lie about school closure.

it is too bad that you can't see it.

i suggests you look up "nationalizing local elections", do more research on it. case in point,

lots of words put together that, when taken as a whole, say nothing

you have shown us your ability to contradict you intended point in one sentence.

If you continue to deny that Biden won the election and still are trying to decertify it in states yes that would be a problem. If you believe that violence is justified to over turn the last election and / or to protect Trump from law enforcement that would make you “Sith MAGA”.

This bears repeating. Biden has gotten more significant legislation passed with bipartisan support. If he was the divisive ideologue out to punish Republicans why would he have worked so closely with them on the infrastructure, competiveness and CHIPs bill?

At the same time he’s been very willing to work with Republican governors to address disasters. He stood side by side with DeSantis over the Surfside Condo collapse and even is his administration is pledging to help Mississippi with their water crisis.

On the other hand one of Trump’ bipartisan accomplishments was getting members of both parties to vote for his impeachment.

Like how the right criticized and blamed Biden for high gas prices. Funny how we don’t hear much about that anymore.

I just skimmed through the last few pages of the thread and if the major criticism of the speech is it looks like a Star Wars set shows that there isn’t much that can be countered substantially.

Apparently the color red is scary and signals you are the Hitler 2.0. No wonder the Rockets are changing their colors back to the San Diego days.

Wait.. what’s the color scheme for the GOP???… sh$t..

I didn’t watch the puppet dementia leaders speech but I think it’s way more than that …,he’s essentially castigating half the population that didn’t vote for him ,..the response on word games is well he only meant republicans that are MAGAS but to many of the populace they accepted the slogan which to me is what MAGA is ,….it’s simply a slogan but what he said came across as abrasive to anyone that simply didn’t vote for him …a maga republican is the same as a trump supporter so on one hand he says maga republican is a threat to the spiritual soul of our nation or to the effect of that then next day …trump supporters are not a threat - I can’t understand that - a trump supporter is also by virtue a maga republican- of course he can’t remember what he ate for breakfast yesterday but his cognitive confusion is very apparent- he’s ultra dependent on handlers - Biden is a pos regardless
