Are they quitting because the days of lazing around eating donuts are over under her?

 

Doesn't sound like a racial issue since it appears there were no issues with the Previous City Manager who was also Black. Seems like the police just don't like her aggressive management style.

"She came in, first of all, to start giving us tasks and all these projects all the time. And unfortunately, we are -- we only have five officers and I was working double shifts at the time to try to keep up officer safety and be there with the officers in case something happened," said Gibson, who claimed the manager wrote him up for being late if he wasn't sitting at his desk, among other things "She wrote me up for going to businesses and talking with businesses. She wrote me up for talking with council members I've known for 20 years."

 

sounds like the reporting is what's racist.

Some people watch too many movies. The person that was in her position before her was also black.

 

Did she though really? A lot of experience managing small town police forces?

They didn't quit right away....this reads to me like she is an awful boss and doesn't know how to motivate or lead a team.....you come in and get things sorted together in small towns, you can't roll in and start dicatating....to a 5 person police force, that is just stupid and bad management.

Come in with your ideas, work together and make it better.....this seems not to be about race and just someone piss poor at their job.
