The crazy part is how young they all are. This is about as good of a rebuild as you can get

That’s actually a really good package from New York. Danny Ainge is just f***** greedy.

Lol that looks like there going all in for the #1 draft pick. That team looks like ole bulls 18-19 rebuild team 2.0 w/ when they went 22-62, when they had Lavine running the show and Lauri was on that team too!. They will be bottom feeder. Probably tanking for Wembanyama

Well it wasn’t a knock. The Jazz were VERY good. Covid year they had the 1 seed locked up and on a roll.

absolutely Gobert had half court playoff issues cause he could be schemed against. Mobley should be better in that regard.

however … it’s still an incredibly weak backcourt/wing defensive unit. That will hurt them. And now the East is stacked.

they’ll be a very tough out. You just wish that one of Donovan or Garland were legit sized and played solid solid defense. If you’re a cavs fan. Idgaf.

you have to be almost flawless to win an nba ring. They have a flaw. And not a ton of ways to fix it anymore.

but again that’s fine. They’ll be really good if healthy and a tough out.

and anything to make Brooklyn worse is good with me.

It’s a betting line - it’s not meant to reflect what Vegas thinks of actual win totals - it’s meant to play on people’s hot take emotions and convince them to place bets based on emotional biases. It’s why the Lakers betting line are always wayyyy more optimistic than where they finish because a certain segment of Lakers fans are willing to drop money on the Lakers destiny takes that the media and it’s fanbase peddle in. It’s only made to vaguely resemble reality to make you think you have as good a chance as the house. In short, you don’t.

Jazz will sell off the rest of their vets and tank. Spurs and Utah going after Wemby hard.

It’s the Blazers I can’t understand. Should have cashed in Dame for picks they are going nowhere.

And OKC. Presti is always in the tanking race.

I think the Knicks dodged a major bullet. Mitchell fits like a glove with the Cavs.

I give the Land about 2 years before becoming legit Finals contenders. What SF will be available in the summer of 2024? Hmm...a SF that can just coast and load manage until he needs to turn it on in the playoffs? A SF that every other player can learn from, due to his multiple championships and 20+ years experience in the league?

GO ON HOME, KING! BRING THE LAND, NUMBER TWO!

Real talk tho, that starting SF is pretty much the luckiest mofo. The other starting 4 basically have no glaring weakness. Allen and Mobley cover up Mitchell's trash defense. Garland is a pretty legit point guard who will only get better, and has an excellent PnP/PnR guy in Mobley and a rim runner in Allen. And Mitchell's offense speaks for itself. And they're all SO young.

I think Presti is a fraud. He gets credit for taking best available players in 4 straight years of high picks, and has done nothing significant in over a decade. He ended up trading the 2nd best player from that group for peanuts, He’s been collecting picks with nothing to show.
He should be getting more scrutiny for failure. Not sure why he gets propped up as a genius.

Dang, you beat me to it.

Jeanie thinks Westbrook is their best player. LeBron is expendable.

…personally I think that has a shelf life. The Holmgren injury gives him a little more cover this year but Presti can’t tank forever. At some point Presti has to either hit on a future HOFer in the draft or do something with his hoard of draft picks to acquire someone. Hinkie and Ainge both lost their jobs playing that asset hoarding game too long.

I thinks it’s a good strategy to a point but you gotta have the guts to commit to building on something at some point and neither showed they were willing to commit.

And they gave up two stars for it.
Apparently ainge had no confidence to draft a player than would set them over the edge — like San Antonio did when they drafted Kawhi Leonard.

Any brainless dolt could trade stars and get draft picks.
