According to a poll taken by the conservative WSJ,

Democrats are entering the homestretch before November’s election in better shape than earlier this year, boosted by gains among independent voters,
improved views of President Biden (attributable to Biden's legislative successes, as well as the steady decline of gasoline prices) and higher voting enthusiasm among abortion-rights supporters

Democrats are riding high right now but shouldn’t take anything for granted. We’ve often seen Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Didn't realize you subscribed to the extreme MAGA philosophy.

Midterms not a referendum on Biden?

    Pew Research:

Abortion Rises in Importance as a Voting Issue, Driven by Democrats

Biden job approval remains low; a declining share of voters say he will be a factor in their midterm vote

A majority of registered voters (56%) say the issue of abortion will be very important in their midterm vote, up from 43% in March. Virtually all of the increase has come among Democrats: 71% of Democratic and Democratic-leaning registered voters rate abortion as very important; fewer than half (46%) said this in March. By contrast, views among Republicans and GOP leaners have shown almost no change since then (41% now, 40% then).

In several races the Republican candidates are making it a referendum on Trump. All of the GOP candidates running for statewide office have made the 2020 election a central issue in their campaign.

Then he wasn't talking about you. He also doesn't hate, he's just laying out the truth in front of you.

But dude, you hit on something. MAGA is such a snowflake. Dish it out like candies and when hit back, cry about he hates us. "Why are people so mean" - Trump.

Good on Alaska! Voting against a Trump backed candidate is always a good thing.

Peltola was easily the most likable candidate in that race. A big part of her win is that neither of her opponents (Palin or Begich) dislike her. In fact, she's had good relations with both of them (especially Palin since Peltola was the leader of the rural caucus in the legislature when Palin was governor). Candidate quality still really matters, especially in a state like Alaska where partisanship is much weaker than most of the US.

I just want to get along. I blame trump for the divisiveness as well but Biden isnt trying to unite although he said he would. And absolutely not crying. I am not losing sleep based on politics. Now if the astros or rockets lose, I might wake up disgruntled. Politicians suck.

Most of us do. All of this crap is very uncomfortable. I have family and friends that voted for Trump and are still his supporters. Knowing them well, I'm sure they aren't fascist or anti-democratic but what they don't realize (they completely bought into Trump's lies and how dangerous the Dem are) is they support a philosophy that is both of that. That's just the hard truth. Sorry if the hard truth is seen as divisive, but we are way past that point. We can't continue to ignore what's right in front of our face however uncomfortable it is, not when the stake is our democracy.

Then there are the MAGA that know exactly what they are doing. That are truly anti-democratic and fascist. These are the folks that putting pressure (violence threats) on the Republican party to be what they are now. The one that welcomes a fascist foreign leader to speak at CPAC. The one that planned out and executed the plan to steal the election. The one that has threatened violence and warned of riots for holding Trump accountable.

I would gently push bash back with ...

Biden has been the most legislatively successful Presidents since FDR. Most of his agenda is wildly popular with the electorate, both Rs and Ds.

I do agree that Biden has taken off the gloves in the midterm campaign season, viz-a-viz the Rs who had the gloves on the entire last two years. The Rs appear to have zero interest in uniting the country.

Biden's last speech in PA was targeted at independents and Rs who may be influenced to not to vote for burn-down-the-f*cking-house extremist Rs.
