People make a lot about KPJ's issues. But one thing that I find striking is that unlike Christian Wood, KPJ is a highly emotional player - in addition to being mercurial. He doesn't always have control of his emotions and so I expect him to have his episodes. But here's the thing, I feel he is genuinely well intentioned and not selfish like a CWood. His teammates appreciate him, and obviously the coaching staff knows him. He cares about the team, and feels loyalty to them.

I think the Rockets will ultimately sign him on a contract that isn't going to give anyone sticker shock.

KPJs issues are tiny, every team needs a competitor that is a little crazy.

LOL... seriously, what?! The degree of spin by you to excuse glaring behavioral issues is getting mind blowing.

Have you reviewed his issues since he has been in Houston? Barely anything......he is doing just fine.

You call blowing up at his assistant coach, throwing something (at least it wasn't food this time) yet again, and then ditching his team by literally driving way DURING a game barely anything? I hate to see what you actually consider something. Now, has he shown signs of shaping up? Absolutely. A time bomb is a time bomb however until he proves otherwise and less than half of year of "good behavior" means diddly squat.

Come on, I think we can all agree that it's certainly possible for KPJ to mature and improve his behavior, but to claim he barely had any issues since his arrival in Houston?

How many NBA players have literally quit on their team mid-game? And I don't mean playing with little effort on the court, I mean literally driving out of the arena at half time. And this is on top of his attitude issues in Cleveland, so this is not an isolated issue but a continuation of a known issue.

Schnikes @Verbal Christ , and you would have gotten away with it
too, if it wasn't for those meddling kids.

I know I would rather have Rayjon Tucker, WCS, Hartenstein Tremont
    Waters shooting 3's over KPj.

Even Dwight Howard ( 15 3PA's all season) and Kai Jones ( 1 out of 2 attempts)

You're not wrong, but Im pretty sure there were some parameters involved with this stat. Min games or min attempts per game maybe. Im sure you wouldnt argue that every one of those players ranked above in your link is a better shooter than KPJ I mean Bruno Fernando only attempts .1 three pointers per game!. At the same time I would defer to anyone who listed players around the same % yet having a higher volume such as Anfernee Simons, Joe Harris or Seth Curry being as capable or more in terms of pure shooting. KPJ offers more in terms of playmaking so that leaves Simons as a good comp for him moving forward as shooting/playmaking combo guards are concerned.

I’m definitely not arguing that, and truthfully wasn’t even following the conversation. I’m not dissing KPJ, I just simply saw the Will tweet and thought, ‘wow he was really #1 in the league in catch and shoot 3’s..?!’ and then after looking it up saw that wasn’t the case.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe he’s also had abuse issues…..

I'll try to find what the qualifiers were for this call out. It hasnt really been contested in the bball landscape and you would think there would be guys from other teams shooting down the stat in favor of "their guy".

Its all good no offense taken or intended. We're all in the wait and see phase. Deliberation is complete. Only 34 days til the season and we will all find out whats what with the polarizing Kevin Porter Jr.

He's ridiculous. Minor issues like fights at a strip club and leaving a game at halftime (no player has ever done that except him)

At least 100 c&s attempts will do. The only player that has better stats (48.5% vs KPJ's 48.2%) with comparable number of attempts is DJ Augustine (1.8 per game vs KPJ's 1.9) but he has 99 total attempts vs KPJ's 116.

If KPJ is our Ron Artest, I'm fine with that.

Ok, 1, he was not playing in the 2nd half due to a small injury, so he didn't QUIT on his team, he got frustrated with whatever the coach said to him by singling him out at half time, when BTW he was having a great game.....and he left the arena in frustration - yes, that was not the most mature thing to do, for sure.

But it wasn't exactly going into the stands to hit a fan, or choking your coach, or other stupid thing other players have done.

And KPJ has made major strides in the 2+ years he has been here.......so for me, that one incident is just not that big of a deal when taken in context.
