I think they just underestimated the importance of it and thought that the economy would bury it as an issue.

But this was always obvious to me that it would rise in importance due to the amount of absolute horror stories that would come from bans.

What gets me is how much the GOP are fumbling around on this issue. If Roe had just been weakened to 15 weeks like Roberts wanted it to be the GOP would have easily won on this issue but they have definitely overplayed their hands and it's being made worse because of all the radicals that have followed in Trump's footsteps are doubling down on clearly a losing issue.

Except for Blake Masters I suppose...

Those GOP-Gerrymandered districts are going to start to look like spaghetti noodles soon.

There hasn't been a "sane" GOP for years, @justtxyank. Your comment trips me out. What are you afraid of? Democrats fight each other so much that nothing "radical" ever gets done. Hell, "radical" simply doesn't apply to the Democratic Party. I'm a Democrat and I'm being serious, for once.

what I would “fear” is that the democrats would be dragged to their radical left if there were no checks. Manchin has been a check so far.
I am aware there is no sane GOP left

You greatly exaggerate the influence of the so-called "radical left" of the Democratic Party, in my opinion. Where do you get this stuff? You like Manchin? Seriously?

That doesn't make sense. I don't think it's mathematically possible for a 9 pt gap to be made up with just 2% of the votes to be counted, unless the tweet you posted was incorrect.

that post was 98% of the 1st choice selection…with ranked choice voting, since nobody had over 50% of the 1st place votes, they now have to count who had the most 2nd place votes on the voters’ ballots

Surprise outcome. 1st D to hold the seat in 50 years. AL is doing election right with ranked choice voting.

51.5% to 48.5% after final round of ranked-choice.

Is ranked choice voting something that could catch on in numerous places around the country?
