Luhnow trusted trustworthy people. Unless you are saying they used their own money to sign international players. While that SHOULD BE the norm, it isn't when you have obsessive compulsive micro-managers. So Luhnow should at least receive a share of the credit.
I can't find DODGERS on the Astros @Rangers Thread. Perhaps it belongs elsewhere. Perhaps the parameters of the threads are too limited. Anyway, they've BOUGHT a great team which might not even make the LCS.
They don not wear true Rainbow Jerseys except on occasional retro days. They wore Dark Blue jerseys with Rainbowish trim.
I'm convinced Hernandez's strike zone is entirely in his own head and had nothing to do with what can be seen by us.
framber just makes it more clear we dont need lance at all framber, javier, garcia, and urquidy is a nice cheap quality starting 4, you can find an odorizzi type out there on the backend. I would look to showcase lance this year before his arm breaks down and trade him during the off season for some bullpen relief or some more offense. We gotta free up money to sign king tuck, also i dont see jv resigning with us
Hiring good people and letting them do their jobs. What a novel concept. Seriously, Luhnow set this franchise up to be dominant for a decade with a few tweaks. Let's hope Crane/Click don't screw this up. Example: This needs to be Dusty's last year. BTW, this philosophy failed Luhnow, Hinch let the sign stealing happen.
And I thought I was the skeptic. But I won't say you're wrong at this point. Worst case scenario, Dusty is hired back and Gurriel is signed and Maldonado is extended so the holes in the lineup are maintained for two more years.
It was Luhnow taking the fall or Manfred for the rampant sign stealing across the league. So Luhnow and the Astros became the league mirror and everybody jumped on the bandwagon that somehow they were worse than all the others so they could sweep their own GUILT under the rug.
Nothing I dislike more than the 2 game series, oh yeah the 4 game series. Thought Mancini and Altuve put a couple of good swings that would have given us mooar runs.
II like hard contact because eventually it will lead to more runs. We scored 4 when we could have scored 7 or 8 if a couple of hard hit balls fell right. I like these much better than infield hits with an exit velo of 25 MPH.
You might like my 154 game schedule proposal on the 2023 Schedule Thread then. It eliminates ALL 4 game series and reduces 2 game series to the RIVAL 2H/2A Team. If the league insists on a 12 team playoff, then just add two WC teams and eliminate the bye for the second best Division Winner. With all series expanded to 7 games including the WC round, a deep team is still preferable to the shallow, but hot teams which rely on 2 or 3 hot pitchers.
